A bit of a hike up the hill to reach this hostel, but a lovely oasis once you get there! Nice dining room area for hanging out, though the kitchen area for guests is tiny. Great group of people was staying there, so that really made the trip!
A really beautiful hostel. Stayed in the 6 bed female dorm. Very comfortable single beds, excellent bathroom, spacious lockers

Thank you for a lovely stay in Ilha Grande. The hostel was really nice and the staff very kind.
Slightly removed from the town. Very tranquil surroundings with hammocks for relaxing. The double rooms are actually mini cottages. Nice breakfast and helpful staff.
Amazing for everything you need on ilha grande! Wifi a bit hit and miss
Nice generous breakfast - bread roll with cheese and ham, delicious fresh melon, papaya, juice, freshly baked cakes, tea coffee ad cereals. Great value for money. Hostel is set almost in the forest which has a really nice feel. Only downside is the beds, although a decent size
The place is beautiful, tranquil, and welcoming. It´s a place to be enjoyed by all types of travellers, couples or individuals. Janice, the owner, was an absolute savior. Although speaking Portuguese was a definite advantage, I still witnessed her helping everyone tremendously. Getting around the island can be a bit of a confusion, but with her help you have nothing to worry about and you won´t miss a thing.

I really did love my stay at Hi holandes. The rooms were great, beds comfortable and breakfeast good. I had difficulties finding my way there, few signs would be nice. :)
We were recommended this hostel by a friend. We got there and the staff didn't speak English (perhaps unfair being we were in a foreign country but everywhere else did.) The hostel is located up a hill away from all the other hostels and the main stretch, it felt unsafe walking at night. They have lockers in dorms but anyone can walk in. It wasn't clean, there was a pile of pubic hair, the size of a baseball in the shower for 2 days. No wifi. So bad we left after 1N.Go to Misti's or Beer Garden.
