The location is awesome, makes it feel like a jungle retreat. The rooms are well laid out with comfy beds. And the shower, if you know how to use it is always hot. However the staff are not as accommodating as one would expect of accommodation. Only 1 staff member seems to care about the guests happiness to the rest it seems like to much of an effort. The kitchen situation is joke. And preferential treatment is clearly obvious. It's a shame because this place could be number 1.
We had a very great time in this hostel. The rooms were very humid but I think this is more an island issue rather than the hostel. The staff was really nice, especially the guy in the kitchen. They were are always willing to answer our questions and help us! Bonus: the cats were just really adorable :)
Nice little spot up from the beach. Great facilities - beds great, big soft blankets, free filtered water, big breakfast, etc. Attracts good group of guests. Worth the money.
I am so glad I picked this hostel. It is UP from the main street, for sure, but it is signposted from the main street. The hostel's own website has the best map. And do cross the little bridge and always keep left on your way up. The breakfast is superb with a good selection of fresh fruit, cereals, coffee, tea, milk. And as other reviewers have said, there is a limit on one roll with ham and cheese. However toast and jam are available too. It is in a setting surrounded by nature. I'd return!!!
This place is more of a retreat than a hostel. The location is a short walk from the main road, restaurants and beach. Breakfast was good. Cereals, cake, biscuits, fresh fruit, bread, cheese and Ham. Cake, coffee and filtered water always available. Wifi was continually dropping out but I think that was across the whole island. Staff were helpful and kind. Kitchen was very small. Staff kitchen was 4 or 5 times the size of the guests kitchen. We weren't able to use this facility which was a shame
Loved the atmosphere. Plenty of space to hang out with others outside and great hammocks. Breakfast was good and consisted of cake, fruit, bread, and other standards. Lockers were solid, showers were hot, and beds good. Kitchen was really small and didn't have adequate pans - they should get a new large pan with a handle. Wifi was a bit spotty and slow but you're on a small island so just expect that and you'll be fine. I enjoyed my stay.
Chilled out authentic island hostel. Be aware of the steep walk up the hill to get there, but the hammocks make it worth while!
Surprisingly good hostel in Ilha Grande. A bit of a walk from the beach but worth it when you get there as it's very secluded and calm. It was quiet in the evenings but it's a really short walk into town if you're looking for something a bit more lively. They did a great breakfast and the staff were helpful.
Breakfasts were the best :) nice chilled vibes but still good interaction. So clean and nice. There were bats in the roof but they sorted it immediately! It's a little hike from the main area but not a lot.
Good hostel, would recommend and be happy to stay here again.
Lovely hostel with great atmosphere and rooms which are in cabin forms! Great compound would recommend anyone to stay here plus the breakfast was amazing !!!

We loved this place. The rooms are quite cramped but the outside deck with hammocks is lovely. Breakfast is great and the trees and leafy surroundings are lovely. Very relaxed place to enjoy Ilha Grande from
