Very cool laid back hostel. Ilha grande is amazing
Great Hostel. Friendly and approachable Staff. Great facilities, although the Wifi was often out. The place is settled in the hills a little away from the beach. But it makes for a relaxing get away after a long day. Highly recommended. Thanks for the hospitality.
The place is charming, beds very confortable. People great. I would try to impruve bathrooms, the shower. But must say, the best breakfast ever at a hostel. It is hotel level really. And very charming soroundings. Peaceful.
Nice location, just a few minutes walk from the Main Street. Rooms are a good size with big lockers. Wifi is patchy as it probably is everywhere on the island. Some staff speak better English than others. No A/C in rooms, but fans were enough during my stay. Loved the island. Would recommend.
HI Holandes is a very good hostel, the atmosphere is fantastic! Very clean and new. The beds are really good and the shower as well. We can cook and stay together with a lot of nature. One of the best hostels in my jorney around Rio. If you don`t like animals, You nedd to know that there are some cats , but the cleanliness still excellent
Nice little hostel. Wasn't first choice, but enjoyed our stay. Staff friendly and hard working, dorms cleaned daily and spacious. Liked the surroundings and short work to pier and town. Maybe a tad overpriced.. didn't think value for money given where else we'd stayed in Brazil and paid far less - even in Rio over New Years was cheaper. Saying that, had a pleasant stay, would stay again and would recommend.
A perfect jungle retreat only 5 mins walk away from restaurants and the beachfront, with very friendly staff who were happy to look after our luggage once we checked out, and helped us with getting to our next hostel on the island... thought it was Abraão ended up in Grande das Palmas! Had to take a taxi boat. Stayed comfortably in the 6-bed female dorm with AC, ensuite & hammocks outside. Spacious communal area with games and smell of freshly baked cake! Breakfast was a treat. Highly recommend!
A nice hostel with a very relaxed feel. The location is a 5 minute walk from the centre giving it a more secluded and chilled atmosphere. Rooms were clean and the hammocks were a real highlight.
Upon our arrival, the power was out. The wifi they offer is very limited and works less than half the time. Other than that, it was great!

Very nice place. Good location just outside the center of the town. It's like a big garden with some rooms and small private cabins in it. Good breakfast.
Nice looking hostel where the rooms are located in seperate little houses, with each a few hammocks in front which is very relaxing. Staff is overall Brazilian and only Portuguese speaking. Almost no wifi signal, you're lucky if you manage to receive and send some WhatsApp messages, but no more than that. Kitchen facilities very limited. Hard to find, some signs at some point but the crucial one is missing (ask around). Overall, a good hostel but I think there are better ones on Ilha Grande.
Nice and clean hostel but a bit expensive for what it actually is. No A/C, noisy beds, kitchen is small and not so well equiped, wifi doesn't work (only a few times a day), the staff is ok but they don't make sure everything is alright. 5-10 minutes from the "centre" but alright. Nice garden.
