One of the best hostels I have ever stayed in and incredible value for money. The pool, bar area and food are all great and I met amazing people while staying here. GREAT base for the Full Moon Party and also near the beach for chilling!

Stands above the rest in terms of hostels I've been to around the world. Staff are really helpful, plenty of places to socialise if u want to, as well as places to sit out the way if u want to just chill. Oh and for any fifa fans, fifa 14 is available to play on a decent size telly :), overall excellent place to settle and rest your head

MUST STAY HERE!! Favourite hostel of our 5 weeks travelling. Group of 5 of us stayed during full moon. It is such a fun hostel, we literally turned into lazy sloths while staying here because you can hang out all day at the hostel and never get bored- so much to do. Really nice atmosphere and great place to meet other backpackers. Really cute dogs around too! Owners are awesome. Thanks for a fab stay :) Miss this place already.

Nice hostel, cheaper than some during full moon. Facilities are great though not much in the way of atmosphere at night. Good place to chill by the pool or play some volleyball/football with mates

I loved staying at the Hard Road Cafe! I came for 2 nights and ended up staying for 12! It's a great place to meet new people and relax. The atmosphere is super relaxing and fun during the day and there's usually a chill drinking scene there at night. It's far from Haad Rin Beach but there's a beach right across the street. I rented a motorbike, which saved a lot of money on taxis and I ended up liking that it was so far away from all the crazy parties. I stayed in a 6-bed dorm- clean and comfy.

Can't say enough good things about Jeremy and his staff. The airline my friend flew into Thailand with sent his bags to Moscow Russia by mistake and the Hard Road staff made countless phone calls and efforts to get his bag back to him as soon as possible.. Just to mention one of the great things they did for us.

Group of 3 stayed for 4 nights over the full moon. Great location for Haad Rin, right on the main road so easy to get taxis anywhere. Can rent mopeds from the hostel too. Ben and Tom are great guys, always making sure you have a class night. Brilliant atmosphere for full moon, it's build up parties and the nights after. A few organisational problems but these are just hiccups whilst getting started in the business. All in all a great time, would stay again and would recommend it to anyone else!

Very nice hostel and nice staff! I did not like the bathroom, bit dirty and shabby. I was only staying one night - it was okay.

Stayed here for full moon and the build up. Really lovely hostel everyone from other hostels comes for the pre drinks and it's a great place to meet new people! I was in a 14 bed dorm and it really enjoyed it, staff were so lovely and it was just a lovely environment

Stayed here for half moon festival. Staff were great and helpful. Rooms are large and mostly clean. Booked a 6 bed room and ended up in a 10 bed room. Make sure you check when you arrive. Bathrooms are a bit on the dirty side but the facilities are good. Nice large pool to use and large communal area where you can drink and meet other travellers! Location is okay. Not beachfront but about a 5 or so min walk. Not a lot around the hostel. A good base for half moon though. Recommended!

Such a fun hostel, met loads of people and is only a taxi drive from haad rin beach. The pool is so nice and the staff are great, it's really good value for money as well. Loved it

Don't expect too much from the rooms or the bathrooms. They are very basic and very island like. But the common areas are fantastic, the staff is really helpful and the price is unbeatable. The location is ok, you can either take a taxi or a rental bike to get to places. Cheap restaurants around, the beach is even visible from the hostel. Overall I ended staying longer because the atmosphere was overwhelming!

Checked in for 6 nights packed my stuff after 2. Really unhelpful guy at the reception, wifi didn't work in a room/ bungalow, no locker inside the room, horrid bathroom, far from everywhere. The worst place i stayed in in Thailand. However if you really like to drink until you're blind then this is the place for you.

We stayed at hard road seaview. It was fantastic. Best hostel we have ever stayed at in the whole of south East Asia. Not only could we use the cafe facilities like pool etc. but also the managers at seaview made us not even want to leave, perfect place for the week over the fullmoon. Made our whole experience amazing. Would recommend both these hostel to anyone coming to koh phangan.

Although this hostel was very social, cheap and clearly newly established, unfortunately there is still a lot of work to be done. Staff need to decide whether they are running a proffesional hostel or a "make yourself at home" guesthouse - as the lines were pretty blurred.

I stayed here twice throughout my travels in Thailand. First for the black moon party, then for the full moon. Awesome hostel with a really nice staff and a really cool owner as well. The hostel is full of french people, also the staff, which makes it more "like home". The hostel offers a huge amount of facilities and is just a really good place to stay at. Had the best pre-parties at this hostel aswell. Would definitely stay there and reccomend everyone else to do the same. - Moran

Would definitly recommend this hostel to other travelers. A real party hostel with excellent atmosphere. It's a bit to far from the haad rin beach expecially when you're traveling alone, because the taxi is 500 bath if you're taking it alone, but if you're 2-3 persons it's only hundred bath each:)
