We stayed at hard road seaview. It was fantastic. Best hostel we have ever stayed at in the whole of south East Asia. Not only could we use the cafe facilities like pool etc. but also the managers at seaview made us not even want to leave, perfect place for the week over the fullmoon. Made our whole experience amazing. Would recommend both these hostel to anyone coming to koh phangan.

Although this hostel was very social, cheap and clearly newly established, unfortunately there is still a lot of work to be done. Staff need to decide whether they are running a proffesional hostel or a "make yourself at home" guesthouse - as the lines were pretty blurred.

Would definitly recommend this hostel to other travelers. A real party hostel with excellent atmosphere. It's a bit to far from the haad rin beach expecially when you're traveling alone, because the taxi is 500 bath if you're taking it alone, but if you're 2-3 persons it's only hundred bath each:)

Has nice extras such as volleyball, workout area, pool - ppl mainly lounge by the pool during the day and go out at night. Staff speak english - yay! Only down part is the location. Its in the middle of the long main road on the island, so theres not much nearby at all. You will always need to pay taxi (minimum 100 baht) to go either to the party side (haad rin beach) Or the side where the pier drops u off (thongsala) which had some more shops and food nite mkt orrent a motorbike to get around.

Stayed here when Koh Phangan was quiet (no Full Moon Party coming up, a few days before half moon, just a couple months after Thai coup) and it was great. Everywhere else seemed dead, and Hard Road was very social and great for meeting people. Highly recommend it for non-FMP times. It's not on the beach, and the nearby beaches aren't great. So I'd imagine at a busier time for the island, you could stay somewhere with a nice beach and still get a good social party experience.

A great place to meet fellow travellers and socialise, equipped with many sources of entertainment; you'll never get bored! The staff is friendly and obliging and the location is good with cheap scooters for rent to fully explore the island. The Hard Road Cafe has been a terrific experience and we would definitely stay again.

Stayed in a 14man dorm for the half moon party, really clean and lots if space! Great atmosphere and pres before half moon were great and cheap (always a plus!) Would definately stay here again, staff were really friendly and helped to arrange ferries and hiring of mopeds. Overall, one of our best backpacker hostels yet!

5 STAR ACCOMMODATION.. In the whole 5 months i have been travelling i can honestly say that Hard Road Cafe offers everything any traveller needs and over exceeded my expectations by a country mile! As well as having a Gym, Sports Complex, Swimming Pool & Cinema Room the venue has a great atmosphere with themed nights so that everybody is always occupied and entertained. The staff were all wonderful and i felt very welcomed in my time there. I can truly say nothing bad about this place ********

Ultimate party hostel! The best atmosphere of any hostel I've ever been to. There is a large hangout area with food and bar, all of which is close to he pool and volleyball court. Poolside sunning area was just finished for the first bikini contest while I was there. Nighttime is a perceptual pre-party for what ever event happens to be taking place on Koh Phangan that night! Staff were amazingly helpful. If you want to sleep sober and before midnight this is not the place for you.

Travelled the world, stayed in as many hostels as you can imagine and probably one of the best overall experiences ever. I stayed at the villas which is about a 5 minute walk from the main hostel which both have pools. At night huge beer pong competitions. Staff and owner are amazing. They're are all from France and are super super friendly. Not on had rin beach but rent a scooter to get around (125 baht a day) as cheap as taxi, just don't crash it will cost a lot. 100% recommended

Other than the bathroom and shower it was great. Good atmosphere, but food is pretty average (not great) and there was a frog, cockroach and centipede living in te shower, which also didn't get cleaned. Fun for parties, not much else.

A really good place to stay. Very good party atmosphere and a very clean accomodation. The people who work there know how to throw a party. At the Villa where we stayed, we had a very nice hostess by the name of Cloe. She was very helpfull and good conversation as well. If you want to party during the night and chill out during the day, the Hard Road Cafe an the Hard Road Villa will not disappoint you!

It's a very nice place to chill for a few days, the common facilities are great and free. Only thing is that you can't bring your own drinks, so the nights in the bar get quite expensive (100 Baht for a big Chang, Bucket 300 Baht). Great staff and good atmosphere

Stayed here for half moon party- had a really good atmosphere around the time of half moon! Rooms were clean and spacious, the only thing wrong was that the bathroom had no sink in it. Overall really nice hostel and nice staff

We enjoyed our stay at Hard Road Cafe. Stayed during the week of the full moon so spent time partying and relaxing by the pool or beach. Has great pre parties before the jungle party, full moon, etc. Do not stay here if you are looking for a good night's sleep. People were partying in the dorm rooms past 1AM. Pool is located at the Villas, a 5 minute walk from the Cafe. Pool was a great social area, although the water was pretty dirty.
