Hiroshima Hana Hostel Reviews

The staff were super helpful and friendly and the hostel is in a good location - an easy walk from the train station and main tram hub, admittedly not in the most vibrant part of the city but nonetheless convenient. Bathrooms are small but our ensuite room was spacious with plenty of room for luggage.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, clean and nice room and bathroom/shower, excellent location near the JR station, lots of good restaurants around, free WIFI, highly recommended!

Located close to the railway station, a plus for that. The rooms where nice. The staff could have been friendlier. The shower was clogged. The over all experience was not as good as the last time.

Wifi is not so good in some rooms. It was a bit difficult to find the first time but it's near the station, so very convenient. The staff is kind and helpful.

Good location though a little difficult to find. The washing machine and dryer quite expensive. Wifi was weak in some rooms. The staff is helpful and kind. Globally, not a bad option for staying in Hiroshima.

Hana Hostel definitely does a great job of keeping alive that small Japanese Minshuku/Ryokan/Guesthouse warm atmosphere better than any other of it's kind.

Nice hostel ... Nice location!!

I loved the Japanese decor to the room! The tatami mats, futon, and shoji screen were fantastic. Very clean, and staff most helpful. I also appreciated the free use of email so I could stay in touch with my family.

I had an amazing time at Hana Hostel - I arrived there after an exhausting overnight bus trip and was so extremely tired that I couldn't wait for the check-in time at 15:00. The friendly staff greeted me with a warm smile and let me into the cosy common room, even though it was their break time. They even asked me if I wanted to join them during their lunch! The dorms were very clean & the beds very comfortable. But the best part about Hana hostel is lovely and generous people who work there.

One of the best hostels I've stayed in world wide. The showers were immaculate and the futons were beyond comfortable. The smell of tatami was refreshing. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable--with the added bounce of being fluent in English. The reassuring personalized emails verifying your reservation(s) or departure (even after booking the reservation with a third party) was a nice touch! A pure and fabulous cultural experience--thank you!

The location was excellent - just a short walk away from the train station. The rooms are nice and clean. The lounge area is clean and has couches and computers for internet. They also have a lot of information (ie. maps and brochures) for touring Hiroshima, and for the other cities Hana Hostel as hostels in. The staff was very helpful in terms of helping us choose things to do in the city and advising us which gift items to buy (ie. Sake brand)

Very good hostel close to train station. Big clean room. Small but clean toilet. There are lockers for valuables and free wifi. Staff is very nice and helpful - will give you any necessary information.

Really nice hostel, and very close to the Station. Really helpful and kind staff, could not be happier about the service. You can ask them any question and they will help you with which ever issue. I can really recommend this hostel.

The hostel is ideally located, close to Hiroshima Station and with easy access to all the attractions in the area. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were extremely helpful. They provided us with maps and directions as well as speaking excellent English. I would recommend this hostel to anyone planning a stay in Hiroshima.

...Wow. Amazing hostel. Quiet, clean, and they even provided soap, shampoo, kleenex, free wireless... Will definitely be staying here again.
