I met some friends from at the mansion...good atmosphereand friendly people! Only need free Wifi.

My stay at home at the Mansion was very good. A lot of people helped me and were really friendly. The location is great. walking distance to all the most important places. Great staff and environment.

The room I stayed in was unbearably hot during the heat wave that occurred during my visit. The young receptionist, Cora, was fantastic - best I have seen.

Great place, but definitely a hostel for people who like to hang out with others and don't mind the occasional louder night. Also, because of the central location, it is located right next to a street which can be quite loud at night, in particular if it's so hot that you need to leave the windows open at night. Go here if you want to meet heaps of people and be close to town (right in between CBD and Brunswick St), but chose another place if you want to have a quiet refuge.

Friendly staff. Very clean. Gets full so book early if you want to extend your stay.

Home at the Mansion is amazing! Staff are wonderful, very knowledgable of the city, helpful and GOOD LOOKING to boot. Rooms are great, nice to have your own shower! Location is awesome right next to gorgeous park and walking distance to cool hipster Brunswick street, cafe culture, and the downtown core is just a short jaunt. You want to stay here!

quiet, stylish accommodation! although the facilities seem a bit old, the atmosphere is definitely worth trying!! spend an afternoon reading at the corner or cook with others. Niceeee place to stay!!

Great place. The people were awesome and made the experience so much better. Good location. Clean. The common areas are very small which made it a bit crowded but then that is okay once you are familiar with other guests.

Had a great stay here. Super clean and friendly staff. Only negative was that the lockers in the rooms are only small ones for valuables so there were lots of suitcases taking up most of the space in the room.

Positive: It was a hostel with a good vibe, the people that stayed there where really nice and the location is super. Negative: The hostel doesn't have free wifi and from time to time it could have been cleaner.

Stayed for 2 nights in a 4 bedroom unit. Although I was apprehensive about staying here after reading the reviews, very surprised Home @ The Mansion actually surpassed my expectations. Front desk staff were very helpful with advice and friendly and made me feel welcome right from the start. Most important was the cleanliness of the washroom and bathing facilities. Room-mates were great and there was no problem with other travellers. Keep up the good work!

Home @ the mansion is definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed at. Friendly staff and everything is clean and nice. It has a nice and respectful atmosphere and a very good location close to the center of the city. It can be a little bit noisy from the courtyard or the road outside but it didn't bother me. So unless you are very sensitive to noise when sleeping I definitely recommend this hostel!

I love the home at the mansion because it's got a very familiar atmosphere. it's small and not as big as the big chains which is very important to me, because you get to know everyone and you talk with them. besides the old building gives the hostel a very strong character too.

I felt that to much drugs was flooting around. TV was on from morning to the evening, and this made trvellers not to intervain with eath other.

The best hotel I ever seen, people are awesome and is very clean, 5 stars!

I've stayed twice now and would definitely recommend and stay there again! Clean and tidy and helpful and friendly staff :)
