Items were stolen from our room by the cleaner. Some items were retrieved once we looked for them from cleaners storage cupboard. Staff and management were extremely rude and unhelpful with regards to the matter. They did not offer any compensation for the experience and items that were not recovered. Police had to get involved and we filed a report. The staff were extremely rude and no concept of customer service. Very disappointing overall.

If you want to stay at HK Hostel for three nights or less, it's the place to go to! Good location, free internet (but really slow...) and the staff was mostly nice, especially the guys. The beds however were not so great. Really thin mattrasses so be avare that you are sleeping on a wooden board.

A friendly and cooperative staff is essential for visitors in general and more so first time visitors.

You can't get a much better location in HK than HK Hostel. Causeway Bay is nicely central on HK island, exactly where you want to be for the sites and great for partying. Being only three MTR stops away from Lan Kai Fong, the general party area, it's ideal for getting there and back without problems. The staff is awesomely friendly mostly! The "chilling" area is quite small, but nice and cozy, good for meeting people. I didn't really enjoy the level of cleanliness. Otherwise a good stay.

There was not always someone at the front desk who spoke english - a bit of a failing since most residents were english-speaking. Not enough kitchen utensils - spoons, forks, glasses.

Hong Kong hostel is clean, the room is not big but it's fine for 2, the position is great (close to the subway station), easy to find! If you want to have a cheap and good breakfast go to the Wellcome supermarket (cross the street) and try the chocolate/strawberry/blueberry pastries!!!

I have been here many times and I am always satisfied by the friendly staff, clean and safe place and convenient location. Only one remark: every time I have always been arguing with the portier of the building (old and thin, day shift) who is aggressive and shouts at people for no reason other than asking him how to open the door or where the hostel is. Is there a way of reminding him that he makes his living also thanks to us staying at the hostel and he should be more professional?

It was my third stay in this hostel, and I must admit that there are some changes for good :) but still it is just an average hostel with excellent location :) staff is more and more friendly, room was clean. Some little problems with wifi for some hours at night. It was a nice and comfortable stay.

A good cheap place to sleep after a day exploring. You get what you are paid for in Hong Kong. I was very happy with the location, the bed is a hit and miss. If you are lucky, you might get a good bed. Very easy to get to and from the airport by public bus or train.

I had a brilliant stay at this hostel , the hostel is centrally located in Causewaybay and easy to go to all sites and the A11 bus stop is just around the corner from the Hostel. The staff was also helpful and they also gave me the city map.
