the owners were nice and helpful when we needed to go to the doctors - they helped arrange this. the place is a bit old school but it adds to the vibe. kitchen is slightly dirty - same as most in SA. I don't know if they have ever cleaned parts of the hostel. For a night or two in Val it is fine. The owner is hard to keep track of at times,

The hostel is in a great location and is very cheap. The price reflects what you get, but the beds are comfy the rooms huge. The down side is the showers didn't have much hot water or pressure if a couple of people had used them the last day there wasn't any water or electricity at all but we were checking out so we weren't that effected and bring ear plugs as the noise from the traffic was loud. Other than that the place was clean and the kitchen facilities were good.

The owner is a nice person, very simpathetic, just like most chileans, and the hostel is sort of well located, close to the nice sights and things of the city. However, the house is very old and dirty. There wasn't even toilet paper in the bathroom. People seemed to deal with everything fine, and the price was fair to what we got, but I really wouldn't want to stay there again.

We stayed here during new years eve celebrations. they only put the price up on new years eve and only by a small amount. our room was huge and had arm chairs to relax on and really high ceilings. location is great and close to lots of bars and restaurants. kitchen is well stocked and clean. there are plenty of toilets and were very clean.
