I think that the staff should bemore prepare in terms of information i ask to all of them about some tourist information and they have now idea about that... i really sucks especially when they are Mexicans!!! i hope they change that or maybe give them some capacitiation!!! other than that is good!! :)

It was a very nice hostel, very sociable with helpful staff. They did charge peple for bringing in their own alcohol when the bar was open, purely because they wanted them to use the bar, which seemed excessive and stingy. Otherwise, the staff were very helpful and breakfast was always good. I would definitely recommend.

A little loud but that's expected of this type of place & area.

no drinking water provided, kitchen locked up except at breakfast, I booked online and had to pay for 2 people in order to get a private room with bath - cost $500/night for just me. I found a decent hotel next door that only cost $350 for private room with bath. Hostel Amigo is very poor value for such a shabby place. I wouldn't recommend it.

Average hostel, but very fair price for a downtown venue, the rooms are comfy and with lockers, as it is a big hostel it can be noisy until the wee hours, be aware the staff try to sell you overpriced tours, you can actually book the tickets yourself for much much less! do you research! Still I reccomend for backpackers.

Was an okay hostel with a friendly crowd. Had some issues with the staff, such as trying to make a reservation at reception and being asked to pay 200 pesos per night for a dorm, so instead we booked the SAME room using Hostelworld for 110 pesos.

Amigo is a really good hostel, good wi fi, location, staff, price, free breakfast, good cheap bar. I have no complaints, except the day before I arrived the lockers in my room had been busted into by someone coming from outside, pretending to be a guest hanging around in the room, waiting for everyone to leave before breaking in. He only got into ones with cheap padlocks, so bring a decent padlock for your locker and everything´s fine.

was a good place to meet people and good breakfast each day. bathrooms were really clean but noise echoes around the hallways. its in an excellent location & you have to buzz into the hostel but the staff arent super aware of whether you are a guest or not & 2 guys had stuff stolen out of their locked lockers while we were there &the staff werent overly helpful about it.they offer a lot of tours which might be good if you are travelling alone but they can all be done a lot cheaper by yourself.

Excellent WIFI throughout hostel. Amazing breakfasts; pancakes, scrambled eggs, yummy rice, macaroni cheese, quesedillas (not all everyday, 2 hot things a day) Amazing hot powerful showers in big clean bathrooms.

Nice, clean, and quiet private rooms and impeccable bathrooms (and nice, hot showers!). I was concerned after reading other comments about noisiness, but it was great while I was there. Breakfast is great as well. The guy working at the front desk wasn't overly friendly, but he wasn't outwardly unfriendly. I would recommend staying here!

I had a laugh there met some cool people, had a few beers...... seemed like a easy place to chill or gone on a bit of a mad one :)

Easy booking and welcome process, helpful personal giving tips on where to go and how to get there. Good coice for me.

Avid Traveler - 10 bed dorm was large, spacious, lockers, good open common area. Good breakfast, large bathrooms. lots of help at the front desk, the afternoon/evening woman at the front desk was extremely helpful, as was the lady at the in house travel agency. Tip - do the tours by your self, the tours cost more than 2-3 times what you would spend otherwise.

I couldn't get cancel my reservation and money back even i told the staff( the mid age woman at the desk) 2 days before!! She made full of excuses!! but try so hard to sell me tours!

Great hostel with fantastic staff. A heap of tours to pick from and a travel "agent" of sorts that can help with where to go next etc. Breakfast was good and facilities clean. Will definitely stay there again.

An overall nice hostel in a good location in Mexico City. I don't recommend doing some of the tours though. The Teotihucan tour, for example, is much cheaper just to take the public bus there than to do the tour.

Nice place to stay at Mexico City. Nice staffs. I love the breakfest a lot.

Noisy but good value for the cost. Bathrooms were very clean. Staff was very helpful. Great breakfast. Loved the decor in myh room and the bathroom.

Quite amazed. big breakfast with eggs and beans and milk and cereal and fruit and coffee and tea. free pool, hot showers, lockers, and Tequilla shots!!!!! the staff is incredible. they are extremely accomodating and they speak english. the beds were comfortable. the hostel is three stories and there is good tortas nearby. i had an unforgettabl experience here. could not ask for more. one of the staff even had a birthday and i got some cake. Feliz Cumpleanos a ella!
