A great hostel, with really friendly, helpful staff. There's lots to do in Mendoza and the hostel is great at booking you in to all the activites. Breakfast is pretty good, there's plenty of space to cook, relax and drink wine in the evening and the free glass of wine a day is great. Security is great -they even have plug sockets inside the lockers. Can't fault this place.

Nice big hostel with a lot of communal space, conviniently located near to the main Plaza in Mendoza. Our double room was nice, although it had a very small bathroom, and the hostel has two kithcnes, and a nice patio and roof terrace with hammocks for relaxing etc. Helpful staff who booked us onto a day tour of the High Andes which was really good as well. Also free cake and wine everyday, spot on!

My wife and I stayed in many hostels throughout Chile and Argentina, and this ranked among the best in terms of friendliness and comfort.

I can't tell you how amazing the staff are at this hostel. They are so professional, flexible and caring (I wasn't well while I was there...). The place is like a home with various spots to chill out and there are different activities to participate in every night of the week if you want to. The breakfast is the best I've had yet (boiled eggs, pastries, hot chocolate etc..). Best value for money I've encountered in South America so far.

Staff was so friendly and activities were excellent! well, rooms and bathrooms were not so good and the location is a little bit far from the center but all activities they offer make you forget about that staff. Mendoza is a great city and this hostel makes it worth to see everything about it.

Best hostel Ive stayed in while travelling South America! All the facilities you could ask for, and all very clean. Most people cook because the facilities are so great. Laundry and computer were particularly valued. More importantly, atmosphere and character is brilliant - particularly recommend the asado. (Note breakfast is 8-10 not 7-10)

The social areas in this hostel are great, huge kitchen and eating area. The staff were great, very helpful and booked us on a couple of tours- wine tasting and trekking, they were great. However the rooms were not good. Very basic, the ensuite bathroom was awful - shower curtain falling down, masking tap everywhere to cover the cracks, aircon was noisy and smelly, cupboards were falling off the walls! The lay out of the hostel is not good as the noise echoes everywhere...no sleep at all!

Hands down best hostel I've ever stayed in - staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly (particularly Anna!), fantastic and often free events organised each night. Be sure to have the asado at least once - Gonzalo cooks the meat perfectly. Free glass of wine every night, no problem bringing your own alcohol into the hostel, though you can also buy it there. Supermarket one block away, great sun terrace, free use of washing machine... I can't recommend enough! But book early as it fills up!

Fantastic hostel, probably my favorite that I have ever stayed at. The staff is great, big shout out to maggie for being a very welcoming and outgoing front desk worker. The asados offered weekly are amazing, Gonzalo is a beast on the parrilla, we liked it so much got a group together and followed him to their sister hostel for another asado! I had a blast just hanging out at the hostel, never actually made it out because of the environment was so fun. Best hostel!

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at Empedrado. Our only criticism is the showers which were a little disappointing with low water flow and blocked shower heads.

This hostel was such a great place to stay while in Mendoza. The staff where super friendly and helpful helping us book various activities such as bike tours and horseback riding. The hostel also organized an amazing BBQ and empanada cooking class, delicious! Nice backyard area to meet people and chill !

Cannot even express in words how much we (and everyone we talked to there) enjoyed our time at empedrado. Amazing staff, fantastic advice and hostel-run activities, great breakfast, and most of all great atmosphere. We were so sad to leave here and would return in a heartbeat!

We stayed here for 2 nights in the 2 bed dorm. It was a good price but the room and the shared bathroom were very small. The staff were really nice and helpful. We were on the third floor so the wifi didn't work great here. You can walk to all areas of town and the hostel always has different activities/meals on each night which is great for meeting people.

Best place ive stayed in south america! Staff is great, thanks girls!! They're willing to do all they can for you. Activities every evening. Asado was nice, after party even better. Its about 10 minutes walk from main plaza and taxi drive from party street or bus station, but taxi is cheap. Would definitely go again and recommend it to all my friends travelling in south america!
