I've spent one night in the hostel and got just a positive experience. Staff are friendly with a sense of humor, kitchen incl. all devices which could be usefull for meals preparing, showers and toilets in a good condition, rooms are clean with separate lockers for each traveler but you should have your own lock, the hostel is very close to all sightseeing and party places.

Very nice hostel. Old building, but very clean, and that was the highest point for me. The staff was really friendly and helpful and the location couldn't be better. The only bad thing was they didn't have curtains in the bedroom - for a city which in spring stays light for almost 20 hours a day, it's necessary. But I definitely recommend, would stay there again, for sure.

Rooms were really not comfy. The bed was terrible and the room was way too hot and dry (and we were in May!!).

Average hostel, great margin of improvement (some of the personnel) and atmosphere. It is a petty the general quality of hostels in Helsinki is low, good to stay but in general this hostel needs a renovation and some hostel basic improvements.

Nice hostel in a city where there aren't many hostels. Very centrally located close to the harbour and with lots of tram connections, friendly helpful staff who told me about the "tourist" tram (3B/3T) and had good maps, large lounge/kitchen area

Erottajanpuisto is a nice hostel overall. The location was good, it was very close to the train station, and also close to a lot of restaurants and some nice bars. Staff were very friendly and helpful, although the gentleman working at night when we checked in seemed to think it odd that we wanted a locker to store our valuables. I would recommend this hostel overall.

If I have one more chance to travel to Europe, I am sure that I would choose this hostel again.

There's no complain for the location, staff, atmosphere, facilities (for a big kitchen and a spacy room? no) Only small improvements might help. The internet reception is really weak, which most of the time is not connected (for any long stay travellers will probably be big problem) and the toilets are quite small. Overall was a pleasant stay!

We had wonderful time at the hostel. The staffs were really helpful when we really need to use their facilities after checking out. Location very close to the center, shop, McD. In all, very recommended.
