The only thing I didn't like about the hostel is the smallness of the sinks at the toilets.

Already left a comment about this hostel when I stayed here a week earlier. It must be somewhere among the other comments.

Perfect location near the city center. I totally would stay again !

Friendly, thoughtful staff. Lady at the desk told me a music festival was happening down the street - made my day. Clean, well-located, everything you want from a hostel.

This YHA is a great hostel in a great location and friendly staff. While it is a bit expensive it is about average for Finland. Prices are high in Finland for just about everything but it does have good second hand shops. (The 3 other baltic countries below, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are considerably cheaper.)

The nicest staff and an excellent location. Good restaurants and bars in a very laid back part of the city. Most of the highlights for both day and nightlife are within walking distance of the hostel.

Clean hostel, good location. However there was only 1 key per room. The dorms could be locked from the inside with a hook; however my dorm mates had locked it before I got in one night, so neither me nor the guy working there could get into the room that night. Luckily they had other beds available and he let me sleep in a different dorm..

The building is amazing, I loved the kitchen and high ceiling. But I'd add personal bed lights in dorms.

a good hostel to meet people, not to far from the train station 5 minutes walk, daily activities

One toilet is too too small!!!

Awesome hotel staffs, they are very friendly and willing to help... The hostel has free city maps and guides! The room although is quite small but was clean....Probably the best hostel stay during my trip.

The location is very close to the city centre by walking. However, the hostel sign is a bit too small. I found it difficult to see on my first arrival.

Nice clean, spaces. Staff was there 24/7, kind, and helpful. The building setup doesn't allow for a great common area so it's a little more challenging to socialize when traveling independently.

Overall good place to stay and it is walking disctance to many tourist places...The staffs are very friendly and nice. The shower room is big and clean. The kitchen has most of the facilities needed.

I really enjoyed my night at this hostel. Not modern but there is a nice authentic and comfortable feel to the place, more of a large apartment. Staff were great especially one younger lady who made good conversation. Kitchen nice and spacious. Little window seat good for drinking/mingling. Really good location and to nightlife.

Well located hostel, up 2 flights of stairs. The common area is the kitchen/dining area--bright & spacious except when the hostel is full. Most people go out to eat so 1 fridge and limited storage space works. Staff were very helpful; there were free maps and brochures. The dorm rooms were spacious and the bunks were comfortable and not too squeaky. The only strange thing was the lockers--it looks like they can be locked but they can't. Good wifi; 1 computer to use. Only 1 key per room.

Nice place to stay for a couple of nights.

Coming from staying in many active"party" hostels, this place was a bit more low key but very good. A good location close to many sites and walking distance to central station. Staff was friendly and helpful- thanks for the tip on the best place for sauna! Overall a good experience.

The one key per room system doesn't offer great security. There's no real common area, just the kitchen

clean hostel, good showers, good location, helpful staff
