Nice cosy place to stay, no problems with any facilities or staff. Secure lockers are in your room and they have maps to help you get around the city. Would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Helsinki!

good location in the design district with easy access to the waterfront and the bus/train station. probably the tiniest sinks in the world. no individual locks as others have mentioned before so the hostel security is suboptimal. kitchen seems well-equipped. a few more lights in the rooms would be nice instead of a single bulb for a 6 person room.

The hostel is fine, a little old and outdated but okay. Other then the kitchen there isn't really a good place to hang out which makes the rooms a bit noisy if you want a good sleep.

staff, location good!! and very clean!!

The location was great, 10-30 minutes walking distance to everything in Helsinki. The showers looked clean, but smelled pretty bad. And it would be nice if guests could have their own keys.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The bed is a little bit squeaky. And the 2 storey high stairs will definitely give you some work out if you have heavy luggage. Other than that everything is great.

Clean rooms, bathrooms, kitchen. All the staff were really nice and helpful. Close to the train station, harbour, city center. I would suggest this hostel for sure !

Absolutely loved this place! (Despite it being on the expensive side, yet it falls in line with the costly nature of Helsinki itself). Very friendly staff, beautiful kitchen area and clean comfy bedrooms. Met some really great people from all over the world, Saturday nights in Helsinki are awesome! OH AND THE WIFI IS GREAT. Visit Hostel Errotajanpuisto! 😀

A little bit expensive for what you get. The only thing I didn´t like is that there wasn´t enough security in the room. They only had one key for a room for 8 people and we had to share it.

Stayed for 1 night in a mixed dorm, all went ok, but facilities were very modest. I would recommend this for a shorter stay, the price was ok, but not cheapest of all choises. Location is great if you move around on foot and like to stay in city centre.

The location is very good, staff were friendly, everything is clean and quite new. I really don't see any problem in one key per room. Of course the price is much higher than cost for equal hostels in most places of Europe, but that's Helsinki with no choice of really cheap hostels. Next time will stay there again.

Absolutely lovely and cosy small hostel minutes walk from Helsinki's central station. The kitchen is large, bit only has one decently sized pot and lacks knives and a lot of basic free food things, nothing major, but annoying having to wait for a pot. the check in staff was great, but when we were leaving we were clearly flustered and asking for directions to catch our ferry that was leaving very soon (explained this) and the staff member was sort of dismissive and didn't seem to care.

The location was good and easy to get to from the central station. The staff were helpful but the atmosphere wasn't super. From what I hear that's just how it is in Helsinki though. If you want a party hostel go to Estonia!

Typical HI-Hostel. Beautiful building but the atmosphere is a bit isolated and most people stick to themselves. Other than that very good. Close to city center and all, clean and friendly staff.

The service was really bad, and the employes were always on a bad mood which made our stay pretty unpleasant. Dont go to this hostel if you want to rest and feel at home. Especially the toilets were really dirty. We asked the reception for the laundry service and when it came back everything was half size, they woudnt fit on a baby. The worst hostel i have ever been.

Pros: good location, great kitchen area, superfast wifi. Cons: REALLY TINY toilet, uncomfortable beds, the whole place needs some renovation to provide a feeling of comfort. Don't expect special atmoshpere here: it's pretty quiet in here and the place is much more sleeping-oriented than a place to socialize. Finland is not a cheap country, but I wish I spent my 30 euros on a bed in a better place. However, it's OK to stay here for a night.

i have nothing to complain really. the staffs are super helpful and friendly, the location is so close to the old district and the design district where most places acn be reached within 15 mins walking. it takes only 10 mins to go to the central station. it is a truly happy stay in this cosy and lovely hostel. if i travel to helsinki again it is absolutely my first choice of hostel! high recommended!

-Good location and the staff was very kind and helpful. -Lacked some atmosphere when compared to other hostels I have stayed in. -Was a bit on the pricey side but that was kind of expected.

It's in a great location, near bars and restaurants. The staff are very friendly. One member of staff brought us pints of water when we got in from our night out. Nice.

Really nice friendly staff and good location within walking distance of both ports and station. A late opening supermarket round the corner. Nice well-equipped kitchen and wifi was fine. A couple of the toilets are really tiny, in comparison with huge showers. The real downside is the security: you just have to give up on the idea of locked doors as soon as you come in. There are little lockers you could keep valuables in and it felt very homely and never unsafe, just not yet in the 21st Century
