It is OK for one night stay.

Only stayed here for one night and managed to get over 50 bed bug bites. They didn't follow me to my next hostel so I assure you they are still there waiting for some new flesh. Stay here if you like the thrill of creepy crawlers nawing on you while you sleep. Didn't even have the chance to mention this problem to the staff because not once did they ask me how my stay was. Everything else about the hostel was average...avoid at all costs.

This hostel is one street from the RLD with lots of bars and cafes nearby. For where it is it is relatively quiet spot. The bar and receptions area is a little dark, so not very inviting as a place to spend lots of time. Food is cheap and good quality. Drinks the same. From previous visits to 'Dam I prefer st Christopher winstons hostel, but this is a very good alternative at a good price. Place is clean, Staff are very helpful, and showers and toilets decent enough.

Very enjoyable time, staff were friendly and the food offered was good and value for money. If I return to Amsterdam, I would stay here again and I would certainly recommend the Globe to anyone.

Clean rooms, really enjoyed my stay

the 3-bed private room we had was clean and secure. A few of the staff were very rude, so don't expect them to help you plan your trip to Amsterdam or suggest any restaurants other than their own. The bar downstairs reeks of smoke and fried food, but our room was decent. Good location next to red light district and close to the central station. Unlikely to stay here again.

The stuff was very unfriendly! We stayed 4nights in a 8bed dorm and toilete and bath were NOT cleand once. In total the location is good but u will find much better hostels there

Basic hostel accommodation and not a party hostel per say, but has cheap beer and clean environment to rest your head at the end of the day. Would stay again if on a stag weekend etc but wouldn't take my girlfriend there.

A good hostel with nice staff. And pretty cheap concidering its central location.

Excellent hostel at an excellent location also comes at an affordable price. Value for money go for it.

location was really good and the sheets and bathrooms are really clean.

When I saw the place and the sleeping area, I thought yes, this is going to be a good place. BUT, I ended up with many insect bites from something in the blankets. Wouldn't go there again. Too painfull.

Spot on, the night staff especially good, no matter what state you find yourself in. I would Definatelty stay there again.

It is good located, i think in the unique quiet street of the red light. At the first sight, may be, it can seems bad and ugly, but is the right place to stay for a short "one-shot-one-kill" week end. After the first "walk trip tour", when you came back to your hostel, the big word "hostel-sport" (and The Globe little in the middle) in blue-white help you to recognize the path to home/bed/rest/shower. This is a really good features about The Globe. Follow the rules and enjoy A'dam.

I was very surprised when I got to the hotel. I mean our room was dirty, the sheets hasn't been changed. It´s a pity because the hostel is very well situated. I won't tell you to no go there but if you got the choice, go to another Hostel!!

This place seems to be a bar first and a hostel second, i felt grimy being in there

not too bad, just when I think about Amsterdam, It gives me royal pain in the ass.
