I was very surprised when I got to the hotel. I mean our room was dirty, the sheets hasn't been changed. It´s a pity because the hostel is very well situated. I won't tell you to no go there but if you got the choice, go to another Hostel!!

It is good located, i think in the unique quiet street of the red light. At the first sight, may be, it can seems bad and ugly, but is the right place to stay for a short "one-shot-one-kill" week end. After the first "walk trip tour", when you came back to your hostel, the big word "hostel-sport" (and The Globe little in the middle) in blue-white help you to recognize the path to home/bed/rest/shower. This is a really good features about The Globe. Follow the rules and enjoy A'dam.

The hostel is in the heart of red light district and only few min away from the central station. Staff was friendly and helpfull. The only thing that bothered me was the room, it was nothing like in the photos of hostel and we had only one key for 6 bed room, so you had to knock everytime on the door to enter the room and it was quite annoying for people who already went to sleep. If you're going there just for a weekend I'd recommend this hostel, because the location is really super nice.

It was a decent place to stay, very good location, and clean. The only downside was that there was no kitchen. Yes, there was a bar with food, but if we wanted to save money and buy groceries for later, it was impossible.

Fair hostel. But not so fun, rather a calm place. Good location and good facilities. Too expensive though, but so are most places in Amsterdam.

I went to the globe hostel the first week of the easter break and it was nice. We booked an 8 person mixed dorm and had really nice roommates. Having a shower and a toilet in the room was a nice surprise. The location of this hostel was great, right at the end of the red light district and close to the train station. The only thing which bothered me was this old guy sitting at the desk. He was not friendly at all and very rude. Other than that I had a great stay.

The location is excellent, 3 minutes to the Railway Station and 1 minute to the Red Light District. Average staff, one of the guys was rude when I asked if the price included breakfast ("do you think you can get something better than a bed for this price?" - he said) and also they did not respect the breakfast time, that was supposed to start at 9 a.m.. I waited for half an hour and left without breakfast, the cook had not arrived yet.

I was travelling by myself to Amsterdam and the chepest hostel (by the location) was the Globe Centre. The location is great so you can walk from the hostel to anywhere by the day and by the night. The bed was great, the sheets were clean and also the towels (which are free to rent), the only thing i didnt like it was that the lockers were all broken. People in the hostel are really nice too. I recommend it for sure :)

Two horrible words: bed bugs. When we left, they had invaded our stuff. It was disgusting.

Good location and clean. But don't order at the bar in the hostel. The owner tried to screw me out of money. -His excuse was he's got to make money too...

The hostel is made up of a few levels of rooms above a dimly lighted bar. The stairs are steep and creaky, the corridors are narrow. The only plus points are that the price is cheap, and the toilet in the room seems to be newly renovated. Heard the food served at the bar is good and relatively cheap too though I didn't try it. No wi-fi in the rooms, only limited to the bar area and maybe the first floor above the bar. Basically good if you're only looking for a place to sleep for a night or two.

I stayed in a triple private room with two other girls, and we were very impressed with the Hostel. We didn't realise that it was pretty much on the end of the red light district, however we felt very safe and were very pleased to be so well positioned in the city. The bathrooms were very clean and very modern, and the room was warm. Would definitely come back.
