Our stay at the hostel was great. The location was amazing with just a few steps away from bars and some coffee shops. The bar underneath the hostel was really chill. I also liked the cleanliness of the room and the modern bathroom. Having a room with a view of the street was a plus. The young english speaking staff member was great, really helpful, and made us feel welcomed when we walked into the place. The other staff members weren't rude as some people claim, they were just okay.

Brilliant place to get you head down, the beds were surprisingly comfortable! ... The Sports Bar downstairs with smoking room was awesome, 20% off food aswell, the Burgers are highly recommended. 2.50euro for bottle of Heineken was really cheap compared to everywhere else in Amsterdam ... Would definitely stay in The Globe again.

This place it's good because makes you feel like home. Don't expect a fancy place, but the beds are fine, and the showers are hot and good. Toilets could be improved a little, but at least you have privacy. Excellent location, in the city centre and near to the central station. You can also rent lockers, smoke in the pool tables and drink beer in the lobby bar. Wifi is also good enough. Great place!

Good location close to train station and walking distance to most of the centre attractions. Stayed in a triple room ensuite which was basic but no complaints. Wifi was temperamental but other than that this was a fine place to stay for a couple of nights. Reception is based out of the sports bar downstairs which is grungy but a good bit of character!

Great location which is all we really wanted from a hostel however a few things would have made our stay better. The window in our room for 4 was very small so the room was pretty dark. The toilet smelled pretty bad in the room, no kitchen and the cards they give you to enter the hostel were pretty easy to lose. Maybe they could use a better system like a security code or give everyone in the room a key. But as I said, the location was fantastic!

The negative: miserable uninterested chinese girl during check in who didn even say hello. Plain rude older guy only one mice member of staff was one of teh youger barmen. No locks on the dorm doors nor secure lockers made me feel a bit worried about the safety of the my bag, fortunately I was there on a Thursday and the place wasn busy at all. The postive; A great location within easy walking distance of the train statuion and all te sights. Very clean and really cheap. I paid less than ten eu

The young English guy in reception was especially helpful. Although basic the hostel is clean and the room we had (4 single beds) had a nice new bathroom.

The hostel is close to the Central Train Station. The room and private bathroom was very clean. I liked the bar on the first floor. I would definitely stay here again.

we spent a week in this hostel and we didn't face with any problem. There is a free wifi i think it is a plus , there are also closet for valuable staff in the rooms but you should bring your own padlock. But the best thing about hostel is the location.

I would only ever use this place as a hostel to stay at if you have to catch an early train in the morning. The location is good, but the rest is not.Very unsafe, no locks on the doors, and almost all the lockers were broken in our room. It was dirty and messy. Having stayed in quite a few hostels in Amsterdam, I know that there are many better hostels for the same price in the area.

I personally feel, and I speak for a few others who have stayed at this hostel during my time there. 1) Clearly we are tourists, renting a hostel room at 9 or 10 euros a night. To ask information regarding a cheap local restaurant, while travelling alone should not consist of suggestions of burger joints for 15euros + 2) They seemed not to know much about the area. Horrible suggestions, if any at all. 3) Made it very clear that if I'm not paying at the time of the question, i will get no answ

That's a great choice for people that only want somewhere cheap to sleep in Amsterdam's downtown.

My friend and I stayed in a room with four bunk beds, which was okay, we knew that when we booked. However, when we opened our room, it smelled like bad food mixed with tabacco and weed. There were no lockers for everybody, they were small, and damaged. Our room’s door wouldn’t lock and in the bunk bed in front of our, four people slept on it; plus, they were smoking in the room! The blankets were also very disgusting. I would not recommend this hostel at all!

Really nice hostel, i went with my boyfriend and we spend 2 nights, we had a clean private bathroom, the towels they give it for free, as well as the linen. The staff is really friendly, in the bar you get to meet nice people. Despite of being in the red district, the hostel is in a quiet corner, and you are at walking distances from everything. I'd really come back to that hostel, is cheap, and you have everything that you need, a confortable and clean bed, just to sleep.Ther's no kitchen thoug
