Our modern, centrally located hostel is an easy 10-15-minute walk to just about everything you want to see in downtown Boston! We’re also just blocks from multiple T (that’s the subway) lines, so you can get all over the city and across the river to Cambridge on the cheap.

Designed for the modern hosteller, our dorm rooms feature secure lockers, privacy walls between bunks, and personal shelves, a reading light, and power outlets at every bunk. Our fully equipped guest kitchen and guest laundry facilities will help you feel right at home, and our comfy lounge, game room, and library make it easy to meet fellow travelers. We offer men’s, women’s, and all-gender dorms that range in size.

Individual bathrooms are located just outside each room in the hallway. All guests receive complimentary linens, pillows, and towels. Bathrooms are equipped with soap and shampoo and hair dryers are available to borrow from the front desk. Our private rooms have full en-suite bathrooms and televisions.

Hostel in a good, central location that is kept very clean. Staff at reception were helpful but not the most friendly, one staff member in particular was quite rude when I asking questions about check in. Was able to leave my luggage i. the storage room before check in and during my stay. Bedroom faced out onto the street so it was quite loud in the room. Kitchen had a lot of amenities and was kept clean. I would recommend staying here.

I had a great stay at HI Boston Hostel. The location is excellent—very convenient for exploring Boston’s main attractions, restaurants, public transportation, and downtown areas on foot. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The hostel itself was clean and well maintained, including the common spaces and bathrooms, which were kept very tidy throughout my stay. The bed was also surprisingly comfortable, making it easy to rest after a full day of sightseeing. One of the best part

The location, comfort and security are all great. Mixed experience with the staff. I arrived early at 2.30 to drop my bags. I felt the lady at the desk was very rude and hostile. I came back at 4pm to check in but my bed wasn't ready. I had to wait another 35 minutes to check in but luckily the shift had changed and the new lady was polite and professional about it so I didn't make an issue about having to wait. The housekeeping staff that I interacted with were delightful. Respect costs nothing

Opened in 2012, Hostelling International Boston is in a great central location near Boston Common, Chinatown, the subway and most of the city's sights. This clean, modern and purpose-built hostel offers personal lights and power sockets at each bed and a great atmosphere. Plenty of kitchen and common space makes socializing, cooking, playing pool, or doing work on the free Wi-Fi easy, according to one Hostelworld user. We like that this hostel is actively environmentally friendly.
