Stayed here for one night as it was the most affordable last minute reservation we could make. The staff was very friendly and helpful (young guy) and provided towels, robes, sheets, and slippers at check in. The facilities were about what is to be expected for a budget hotel-not too shabby. Water pressure was warm and substantial. Area was a couple stops from Namba so that was nice. The place isn't located on the front strip but the dimple directions make it easy to find.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Close to train stations if you want to visit Koya and to the circular metro loop in Osaka. The area around is a bit so and so but when you are welcomed with a smile you tend to forget things...

The place itself was pretty good.. Small rooms maybe but sufficient. Small amount of showers but i never had to wait for one. One thing pissed me off about it and my review would have been much if it wouldnt happen - I checked out late, paid an additional 500yen the night before to do so but because i returned to the hostel at around 0800am after a night out and fell asleep, they charged me for an additionsl night because i checked out sometime between 1400-1500. Not cool at all..

The staff here was extremely helpful and friendly. Any time I went to the desk, they were always quick to ask if I needed anything extra. I could not recommend this place enough to travelers on a budget. Several other reviews said the place was hard to find, but I did not have that difficulty at all. The directions from Dobutsuen-Mae were fine. The biggest difficulty was finding Dobutsuen-Mae from Shin-Imamiya. It was an excellent stay and I felt I got all my bang for my buck, and then some!

The hotel is good for the money that you paid, and the stuff is really kind. Location is also good. However, it was difficult to find the hotel from the descriptions, they should review it.

This is my second visit to this terrific hostel. Clean private rooms with a tv and fridge, an AMAZING onsen, and gritily cool neighbourhood. All for less than you would pay for an 8 bed dorm anywhere else in Japan. Tops!

It's okay to stay for a night. Bath room at the first floor. Toilet on every floor but no hot water.

Great hostel. Staff was helpful and friendly, showers and bathrooms were really nice and clean, and a lot of random perks like free tea, bike rentals, tran discounts, etc. The dorm rooms are a little small for 4 people and the location is a little seedy but neither of these are really problems. Amazing value for the price.

it's a nice clan hostel in the more dirty but fun parts of osaka. the staff is really helpful, the bath and location is good, and it ir easy to find. The only thing is that it doesen't have a really good common place so it might not be that easy to meet new people if you taka a singel room.

The staff were really friendly and nice, spoke good english, as well as other languages from what i was hearing. The hostel is close to the night district of osaka and near the new SpaWorld as well. The hostel offered many nice discount perks too with staying (10% off at FamilyMart, cheaper train rides, etc.). The place itself was very social and friendly amongst the other travelers, and even some locals just using the onsen facilities!

I was in a 4 bed mixed dorm which consisted of a 2 bunk bed set up. I was put on the top bunk but because the ceiling was so low, I kept banging my head on the ceiling and light fixtures. There was also no personal light for my bed, so if I needed light I had to get down from the bed and switch on the main room which also disturbed the other room mates. The room was also very small for 4 people. It's good enough for the price you pay though.

I really like the Japanese bath. Also, we rent two bicycles the next day, for free. We visited around Osaka with our bicycles, convenient and feeling like we are Japanese people. It was a very good experience. (We went to Hiroshima later, the daily renting fee for one bicycle is 500 Yan)
