1) The receptionist was nice. 2) There are separate public baths and toilets for men and women. 3) The room was comfy with a view of Tsutenkaku. 4) The free coffee available in the morning was good. 5) Overall, I've stayed in several budget hotels in this area, and this one is definitely among the best.
Not a very nice place-a somewhat rough looking hostel (more of a budget hotel, honestly) in probably the most rough looking part of Osaka. It is close to a subway station, though, so getting around isn't an issue.
Overall, this was a really solid place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean enough for the price. It's located in Shinsekai, next to a bunch of other hostels and cheap hotels, and the area has a really nice charm to it. Shinsekai gets a bad rap from Japanese people, but besides the larger than normal number of homeless people, it's a safe and fun area. Also, the women's bath area has its own key, that's only given to women, so +1 for security there.

Everything was great, but the toilets were pretty gross. Its kinda what you expect when you share bathrooms with everyone on your whole floor. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the hostel is next to 2 stations, Shinimamiya and Dobutseunmae so its very easy to get around!
Overall of hostel is very good but some facility was broke such as locker and refrigerator on my room need to be fix.

This hotel is undergoing refurbishment and I think post-refurbishment, this is a great place to stay. Right now - is OK to crash for a night, not for few days.
Unfortunately, for facilities, the hotel lobby was going through a renovation so things were cramped, especially as most facilities were on the ground floor and the kitchens / lounges are part of the lobby! The room stinked of smoke (non-smoking bedrooms would be nice) but had good facilities (TV, fridge, air con). The showers were OK. Location is good: a little bit dodgy for Osaka, but safe compared to anywhere else in the world, and close to the train station to the airport.
It was satisfactory to me. Clean room and everything was all right. Location also good. From Namba it taskes a just about 3-4min. If i have a chance to off to Osaka i'd love to stay here again.
