Julio, Mauricio, and Adriana were ALL excellent individuals to assist in every way possible! Julio recommended tour agencies that were absolutely perfect for what we desired. Mauricio actually took his OWN time to purchase bus tickets for us to Panama, from Costa Rica, while we were on a 3 day excursion. If we would have waited until our return to purchase them, we would probably not have been able to move on to our next country destination.

Hotel Vesuvio is a small and simple place without too many luxuries, but comfortable enough for a brief vacation. The place is quiet, the view from the restaurant is breath-taking, and the staff - especially Carlos - is extremely helpful. Carlos will tell you about all the activities in the area and help book taxis and guides, so you don't have to plan ahead. You do find quite a few bugs in your room, which can be expected in the area, but if you're not a fan of bugs, keep that in mind.
