Pretty cool place to stay, the communal area is very good and brings people together. Everyone was friendly, and the available meals were well priced and hearty feeds. Would go back for sure.

This is the most interesting hostel I've ever stayed at. If you want to party this is the place to stay. Located walking distance to supermarkets and close to the tram into town. It has facilities to cook. Everyday the hostel cooks breakfast $3-$6 and dinner which can be bought for $6. The rooms are cosy haha

I thought it was a really good hostel. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Some extremely good conversations to be had at this hostel. Well worth staying at if you are visiting New Orleans.

I was happy with my experience staying at India house for the first few days. The staff seemed to have character, but were very unhelpful. I stayed in a private 4 person room, and found a HUGE roach. When we asked for help or bug spray staff was very unwilling. Also, once the weekend hit, I thought it would be more of a young crowd, but it seemed to be taken over by a group of 30+ yr olds who would commandeer the social areas and I felt weird trying to take advantage of the areas.
