Even though I only spent one night there, I felt completely at home. The staff were very helpful, and always glad to give advice on what to check out in New Orleans. I never felt unsafe and got along great with the other travelers as well. This being my first hostel experience, I couldn't have been happier, or more eager to continue using hostels for accommodation! I will definitely be staying at India House in the future!
Will definitely recommend this hostel! Everything was nice about it :)
My sister and I stayed here for two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. It was so much fun meeting the other travelers staying in the hostel. Although we were in a room with 6 other girls we had no problem with being woken up or not having enough space. The beds were comfy, I would recommend bringing your own pillow or pillowcase if possible. The bathrooms were pretty clean as was the kitchen. Noticed some cockroaches but not in the sleeping room. Overall a positive experience.

This is hands-down the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The atmosphere is key here; the layout of the place is such that you really HAVE to interact with some strangers, and you're gonna have a great time doing it. So many comfy chairs and couches, really chill sitting areas inside and out... just excellent all around. I would go back to NoLa just to stay in this hostel again.
We loved India House! It's everything you want in a hostel. The pool was great, the location and proximity to the streetcar was great (and if you don't want to wait for the streetcar late at night a taxi to/from the French Quarter is like $10). They also serve a delicious and very affordable breakfast! And the communal kitchen is small but good enough!

Little outside the city center but that shouldn't stop you from staying there. One of the most social hostels I've stayed at in America. Never a dull moment!
To stay in this Hotel was probably my best decision. I met so many other traveler they have the same interest like me and we have so much fun, in New Orleans, one of my favorite cities in the US. thank you India House
Great hostel and facilities. Staff were friendly and its good value for money. Loving the option of purchasing food and the pool. Downsides, no WIFI in rooms - this would be a real bonus. Also I think the hostel should have arranged nights out for all occupants that wish to participate, to Bourban or Frenchman. Led my a member of staff. This would turn a great experience into an fantastic once..
