I wish I could have stayed here longer! This is a great hostel with lots going on and really cool, chill people staying there (in my experience, at least). The beds are comfortable, there's luggage storage space, and the beds have curtains! The staff were AMAZING. Beyond helpful and friendly. I was running a fever when I arrived and felt like death. The front desk girl gave me her own medicine, made me tea, and brought me extra blankets. So kind. Highly recommended!

overall a decent hostel to live in. however, it might get a little cold to shower in the winter since the hallways aren't heated.

All pretty good. Bit far from shinshibashi but close to central osaka.

They honored the remainder of my reservation even though I no-showed on the the first night. I greatly appreciated their consideration in e-mailing me with that information. Since it's within 5-minutes of the nearest JR station, it's extremely convenient. The staff were wonderfully courteous and very solicitous. One of their suggested restaurants was Steak Land, near Sannomiya Station. The beef really was excellent! Thank you so much \(^o^)/

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. I am very grateful also that the staff were more than happy to send me things I had forgotten in my room.

The hostel was very clean and conveniently located. The staff was very helpful and there are also events being organized at the hostel. A nice place to stay if you are looking for a hostel type of accommodation.

Great place to stay. Hostel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I urgently needed to see a dentist during my stay at j hoppers, which happened to be a public holiday (great timing eh?), and one of the girls there spent about half an hour calling dentists for me. Eventually she tracked one down that was open and made a booking for me. I was extremely grateful! Saved my bacon big time haha. Top establishment.

If you're looking for an affordable place to stay that is within walking distance to Fukushima-ku station (one stop away from Osaka station), J Hoppers is unbeatable. The push-to-shower showers were interesting but served their role well. Beds and mattresses were soft and comfortable with a plethora of sheets to keep them clean. The presence of OK WiFi speeds and access should be able to allow easy uploading of photos throughout the day. Also free coffee and tee provided.

Everything great, except those narrow stairs, but it really doesn't matter that much, would definitely stay there again

My comforter was smelly although sheets were clean. Seeing that this is a top rated hostel, it's pretty unacceptable. Facilities are minimal but although I paid 1000 Yen for a capsule hotel, I was provided clean bathing suit, face towel and body towel. This hostel (as with most others though) does not provide these amenities for free.

The location is great, the rooms are more convenient/up to date than they were 3 years ago and the power plugs everywhere are convenient. Unfortunately but of course naturally all my favourite staff from last time had left. What is always a bit cold is the fact that they dont provide any breakfast so everyone is just on the run, its hard to meet people there. Also lockers in the room could be bigger, still you can store your stuff at the reception in case its needed.

Good hostel, very nice/friendly/helpful staff, good facilities, best location - but the rooms are very poorly soundproofed, the sliding doors can be extremely loud when closing - so if you have less mindful/considerate people staying with you: you will hear entire conversations held in another room & you will know when someone is opening/closing the sliding doors - very annoying if they are not opened/closed *very* gently.
