My room was a cupboard, with not enough space to place the people's luggage. Also, the staff was reluctant to accept a scottish bill.

Dear Guest, thanks for your feedback. A warm bed and roof for a cheap price is what we are proud to offer. But to maintain low prices in central london we must make maximum use of space - there is space for a piece of luggage each as well as our two large storage rooms available to everyone. I must add Scottish notes are commonly fraudulent in England and so our staff are trained to be wary of them, this is common in london also. We hope your stay was otherwise fine and you would stay with us again.

For the low price we paid, it was worth it. We were there to sleep, and sleep we did! Of course it's not a five star hotel, but it suited our needs very well.

It is a wonderful hostel with good location, warm and friendly staff. security was very good, they change the main door password code everyday, I was staying there alone and staying in the six female room. The staff there are very helpful.and the atmosphere is very warm in the lounge, easily make friend there. The only thing need to improve is the shower water pressure were not strong enough.

The rooms were really really cramped. Furthermore, it was all three beds high, and within each bunk, it is really really cramped. Breakfast was not too bad though. However, the whole place was pretty cramped. Near to King's Cross Station, so pretty near all the main attractions

Dear Guest, we are grateful for your feedback. On top of our convenient location and clean facilities we are amongst the cheapest hostels in the area - to maintain this and meet demand we simply must make use of all available space. Our guests generally use the bedrooms only for sleeping, and so the close bed arrangement doesn't usually cause problems. We hope you would still consider our hostel if you need cheap, central accomodation in the future.

It's a nice little hostel very near the station King's Cross, so you can get into the city very fast and easy. Besides that around the hostel is not that much going on. The breakfast is as usual with toast, cereals, jam and peanut butter. Staff is very friendly and helpful!! The rooms are extremely tiny but ok, though the price for that is quite high but taking into account it's in London I think that's normal. The only pain in the ass are the showers, oftem cold and NO water pressure

Dear Guest, thanks for your feedback. Since our hostel accommodates 141 guests, internet gets pretty slow due to a lot of users. Despite this fact we hope you enjoyed your stay at Journeys King’s Cross and consider staying again next time you are in London!

Stayed here over Christmas and loved it! Very welcoming environment, easy to meet people in the kitchen and common area. Staff were very helpful, even when we showed up one night needing a place to stay and they were all full they did their best to help us find somewhere to stay as not to end up on the street! Definately reccomend :)

The rooms are crowded; way too many beds crammed into a room. I had a little more trouble sleeping than most people because the bed (middle of a triple bunk bed) was a coffin for my 6 foot 4 frame. The rooms were clean enough, but the linens need to be updated (ripped and musty). No hot water in the showers after 9am. And the basement is a dungeon, dark with a low ceiling. Do not recommend for a long stay. Also not super safe, heard a guy had an iPad stolen, so I slept with my possessions close.

Dear guest, we are grateful for your feedback. In order to keep our prices at the lowest in the area we must maximise our space use in the limited area that is central london. The demand for cheap bedding in zone one is high. With the communal environment sadly some people cannot be trusted, however all guests have the option to rent lockers for their valuables. We hope you will be happy to stay with us again for short stays in the future.

All in all it was a great stay. The location is excellent, only a few minutes walk from st pancras and king's cross station. Tesco is right in opposite of the hostel. The bed's were alright to sleep in (i liked the curtains for each bed & the powerpoints), though sleeping in bunk bed's always depends on the other room mates... (which one night I wasn't lucky with, since some girl took a guy back to her bed, in a female dorm.) The kitchchenis clean, but way to small for everyone. same as showers.

Undoubtely it's a rather small hostel with very good and rational use of its space. However, it gets crowded in peek hours and the number of showers/toilets isn't the most suitable for the amount of occupants. Also, the beds aren't the most comfortable and my pillow was awful - my back was killing me after three nights. Despite those characteristics the hostel does play it part perfectly if one is just passing through. A long term stay would be a no no.
