This is essentially a set of cheap hotel rooms situated inside a good hotel. No atmosphere, staff not especially helpful. There is a downstairs onsen however which is free and nice.
Good location close to the bus and train stations. The room was clean but a little tired, very worn carpet, fittings seemed old. Room was only set up for 1 (towels, teabag) despite booking for 2 people. Cleaning staff knocked repeatedly at our door around 9am until I got dressed to check what was the matter - would have used a 'Do Not Disturb' sign as we wanted to sleep in, but there wasn't one provided. It's a shame that wifi is only available in the lobby however it was very fast.
I was there with my husband for 2 nights. Good location, close to the train station. We had the impression that it was more a hotel than a hostel, except for the facilities and service. The kitchen was very small and simple, but we were always alone there. The staff could not talk English, but they were as friendly as usually If you don't need the environment of a hostel, the price of this "hotel" is very worthy.
