The food, though priced extremely well was less than stellar. The rooms were great and very clean. Accommodation had been made for water outages and shortages which was highly appreciated!

I only stayed there one night.. It was allright but you should ask for a room one or two floors up, my window was facing the garbage bins and I couldn't close the window so my room smelled horribly. The girl working in the bar at breakfast time knew very little (if any) English and the girls in the reception didn't give the impression that they wanted to work there. But I only stayed for one night so maybe I just came at a bad day.

Good hostel, but it is so hot in Kunming that the rooms could do with at least a fan, if not an air conditioner. Location is great. Facilities are ok. Staff are friendly but seem constantly rushed (the hostel is relatively big with lots of customers).

This is my second stay here, this time in a 6 person mixed dorm. This room was much better than the girls dorm. No mold, cleaner, and two windows with screens so we got a decent breeze without mosquitos. The restaurant is a nice place to hang out, with good wifi and power plugs and decent, reasonably priced food. My favorite feature is still the park right nearby.

A nice, cheap, cozy hostel. Good reasonably priced food, helpful staff, usable wifi. Only downsides were that due to the draught there was only water available in the morning and the evening and that they were painting the walls outside the bar so it smelled a lot. But they were more or less finished when we left so it probably won't be an issue any longer.

Nice hostel, close to the green lake and shopping center. Especially the character of the place was very nice.

oom was a bit smelly (probably growing mould somewhere in the room, or some problem with water leakage) A rat was running inside the bar. Probably normal in this part of asia, so nothing to worry about.

It's in a great location, with a great atmosphere and excellent facilities. They also have clear and concise directions to just about anywhere you'd want to go and a friendly and helpful staff for any questions you might have.

Second time here and again it was good. Value for money is excellent, especially if you book through the website deals. Their restaurant food was of okay quality but try to keep to their recommended dishes. Pizza's are quite good as well.

Good choice for backpack trip, charming place. Clean but a little noisy and the meals could be better.

Clean beds and helpful staff, but the lack of water during the day is really annoying. If it was just the showers that were turned off it'd be OK, but it sucks not being able to wash your hands or brush your teeth whenever you need to.

The Hostel is located next to the Green Lake park and in walking distance to the market. The room was fairly modern and clean. We had stayed one night in the Kunming Cloudland Hostel, which was not clean at all - there was a rat in the double room; therefore we have look for another option for our overnight stay on return. And it was definitely the right choice!

I enjoyed my stay and thought it was a great value in a great location. I did notice that there wasn't an air conditioner in my private room and wondered how comfortable I would be at another time of year.

Extremely good-value hostel. Their restaurant is top-notch with good and affordable food. Large lockers that fit your whole backpack were definitely a plus! Unfortunately the water was only on 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening. That really was unfortunate. But besides this small hindrance the place is located very nicely close to the lake, there are many ATM machines nearby and they organise and help you with all your travel needs throughout Yunnan.

Good thing very near Cui Hu and quiet place. Cafe, wash rooms condition need improvement. The hostel was a little messy as it's undergoing some renovation.

This was a nice place to stay in Kunming and i would definitely consider staying again. I had a private single room and it was excellent- very clean, good shower, comfy bed and quiet. I managed to get an excellent night's sleep whilst I was there! One slightly disappointing thing was the WiFi signal in the room was poor or non-existant, it wasn't ideal for getting some work done or uploading photos etc. The staff were helpful and helped me to book tickets to Lijiang. They were very busy at times!

I really liked this hostel. The staff were very helpful and spoke very good English. They do not offer any tours, but were able to help with activities in the area. The common area is very nice. Sadly, they do have this issue right now with water shortages. But, it seems that it can't be helped at the moment.
