A well located hostel with a great atmosphere and helpful staff in reception. The only downside was slightly uninterested bar/restaurant staff.

Staff is nice. Spacious bathroom. Too warm in the room though (no fan nor air-con). No shops nor restaurants close by but a short taxi ride would take you to the pedestrian street with a lot of eateries.

Nice and large communal/bar area including garden. 24h reception, which isn't the case in many Yunnan hostels. Staff spoke pretty good English.

This hostel is excellent. The rooms are great. Staff is helpful and speaks English very well. It's near lovely Green Lake and some good bus routes. The bar and garden areas are fun to hang out in. There's good wifi, laundry, pool, movies, etc.

Great hostel! The staff are helpful and speak good English. You can book your bus tickets through them which is very useful. The common area is very nice to relax and meet people. Our private room with ensuite was clean and all we needed. The directions provided from the airport were great and we had no problem finding the place (just make sure you have the address in a Chinese to show the taxi driver!).

I stayed for 2 nights finding it is a great hostel. value for money and you can find everything you need in a hostel. The staff are helpful. And the location is so great that you can go to all the attractions, traditional food restaurant, bars by walking.

nice location and the setting of the hostel is fantastic, especially Facebook is available. recommended.

Only had one night here for a layover but it was a great hostel. The facilities were quite impressive with a large outdoor patio, dining area, and stone architecture. Staff were very helpful and the dorms were very clean and well designed. Would definitely stay here again or recommend to others.

Took forever to get a cup of coffee in the morning. The maps were not that helpful and neither were the staff in helping book things to do (for a solo traveller). Items like the Wii were out of use and quite possibly still are with no sign of getting fixed. However, good, decent food. Nice location, easy to find and near an Irish pub. Would not advise walking from the station as it is a about an hour away

Probably the best hostel I have stayed at in China. Our rooms were big and clean with a great shower. The restaurant and bar were great and the location was right across from the lake and not far from a bar and restaurant street.

staff was indifferent or too busy, night reception guy is very old and speaks no English. Food at bar ok, but overpriced. Atmosphere not encouraging social contact of guests. Service st bar/restaurant rather poor.

really pretty; good food, nice ambiance! good place!

The lounge bar plus staff was amazing. The pooltable in the middle of the lounge is a good conversation starter (by either watching or playing ;) ) Bed's ar nice and soft. There are enough showers and sinks to go aroound so no queing. Would definitely recommend it!

A near-perfect hostel, located in a great area next to a park and close to many cafés, yet only a 10- to 15-minute walk to the central business district if you want to walk there. Plenty of opportunities to meet other travelers, both Chinese and foreign. Only downsides: frustratingly slow Internet, the outside area closes at 23:00, and the indoor lounge closes at midnight.

Nice Common room but the food was not good. Clean comfortable rooms. Close to the lake.

Great cheap food with lots of vegetarian options. Location is good, close to the park and walking street. Wifi is just ok, i assume it's because many people connect at the same time. The directions posted in the lobby for the bus/train stations are contradictory so best ask again. Buses in kunming don't have english stop names, so if you cannot understand chinese, try to count the stations (hostel staff can tell you at which stop number you have to get off/change buses).

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and genuinely seemed interested in making our stay in Kunming exciting and without issue! Located close to Renmin Lu (large commercial area) and has fairly nice facilities. Showers on upper floors have weaker water pressure. Food was okay. Kunming itself is fantastic and I recommend exploring around the hostel, there's cool street life at night not too far away.

Nice place . friendly. i will be back. ....

Terrible wifi (horribly slow, barely usable).

I loved the garden and communal areas. The staff was helpful (although sometimes seemingly moody), and I really liked the information about transport links displayed in the reception-very handy&could be photographed for reference.
