My wife & I enjoyed our stay in your ryokan-style room. The room was surprisingly bigger than expected, but the blankets are not quite clean and up to par with presence of hairs and other small foreign bodies. The attitude and warmth of the staff are tremendous. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

Great location, friendly staff, convenient bike rental. I stayed in a two person private ensuite; the room and bathroom were clean and well appointed, did not feel cramped. Mattress padding on the futon bedding was softer and more comfortable than most. A required and costly room key deposit (1000Y) is a negative. Otherwise, would not hesitate to recommend.

This hostel near Kyoto Station, central train and bus station in Kyoto. You just walk around 10 minutes to reach this hostel. It has clean room, bathroom and the staff also have pleasant personality that help us. The only thing I didn't like is they have No Elevator (Lift). So we have to bring our heavy luggage down the stair ourself :(( But most of them it is you still can choice this hostel if you come to Kyoto.

I stayed in the 6 bed female dorm, but because of the curtens which sapareted the beds everybody had their own space. The staff was very kind, the bathroom was clean (free shampoo and shower gel) and the hostel is about 5 minutes walk from the station. The only problem is, that there is no elevator in the hostel. But I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.

We had the equivalent of a hotel room for half the price and at a perfect location... therefore it was great, of course.

Overall, a nice hostel, but requiring a deposit for the key to a private room that costs 6,800 yen is totally offensive. Hotels that charge the same amount would never do that. Same goes for towels.

I had a wonderful time at the Kyoto Hana Hostel - excellent facilities, very friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere and great location. Pretty much the perfect combination of factors for a hostel. In just a couple of days I met 3 or 4 different interesting groups of people who I intend to catch up with/stay in touch with over the course of my trip. Thank you to all the staff and patrons of the Hana Hostel who made my stay so easy and memorable! Would say more but I've run out of space hah

Very nice hostel in Kyoto. The staff is very friendly, The place is easy to reach from the train station. The beds are comfortable. Good place to meet people. I recommend staying there more than another hostel that I stayed in in Kyoto... even if the other hostel had better ratings.

5min from Kyoto train station, nicely located brand new hostel with great facilities. It's walking distance to a few temples but as you will find out there is no perfect location in Kyoto because all the sights are scattered across the city. If you like New, clean hostels than this is for you. Great mix of people with most of them only staying a night or two. Highly recommend.

First time in a such "luxury" dorm. Excellent location, just 5 mins to Kyoto Station. Great staff. I particularly like the kitchen and TV room. You can meet some new friends and feels like home. Although the wifi was unstable during my stay, there are two public PC to use. Overall, it is definitely a good hostle in Kyoto.
