Aircon was difficult to use, no instructions were available in the room. It felt like an oven. There were only two pillows, and they were uncomfortable. Bed was very hard. The room was fairly noisy as there was a family staying next door. You could hear EVERYTHING they were doing. The room was hard to find, not very big signage on the road, and we got lost., and we even had a TomTom GPS navigation in the car.

Well we didn't expect such a wonderful place, we ended up staying for 3 nights instead of the 1 that was originally planned. We were able to cook our own meals as we were in an apartment, do our laundry, enjoy the beautiful grounds. The swimming pool is very private and overlooking olive groves and out into the Tuscan hills. We truly enjoyed our stay and could have easily stayed for many more days. A little more challenging to get to and from without a car. But we managed just fine. Thanks

Lovely place to stay! A bit outside of Siena, public transport could be difficult, but if you have a car it's absolutely great. The staff is very nice, they even stayed up until after midnight to show us the way (the reception is about 1 km away from the hotel). Nice rooms, in our case even fully equipped kitchen. The breakfast is absolutely fine, can't understand the negative comments. Bottom line: if you want to stay in a central place in Tuscany and really enjoy it, get your room here.

L'Aia is a really lovely place, very relaxing, beautiful setting, and the pool and garden are amazing. It's one drawback is its location. You need to get a bus to and from it if you are going into Siena and these don't run very regularly, especially on a Sunday, and the timetable is hard to interpret as the bus has alternative routes. Lovely place to stay, but not practical if you do not have a car.

L'Aia is absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in this quaint cottage-like apartment. Right out the back door were beautiful views of the Tuscan countryside and a great pool to soak up the sun. It's a great place to relax! The only annoying part was having to take a taxi when we wanted to go into Siena. There are buses that go by, but you have to really work around the schedule. Otherwise, totally worth it!

The hostel was wonderful, very tranquil setting. a bit out of the way if you don't have a car but we managed using ocal buses. the setting was just beautiful with olive trees all around and the buildings authentic. a lovely place to unwind after many days sightseeing.

Very helpful and cheerfu staff

good value. the check-in 1.5 Km away was not convenient but we found our way there anyhow.

Located only 100 m from the tower. That is great. If you will come by car you will have parking problems but anyhow for this price the Hotel is great. I will come 2nd time on my next Tuscany trip!

It is a cool place to stay. Just confusing when locating it though, as the directions on the web link to the place where you check in, but the map is for the location of where you stay.... which is about 5 mins drive away from the reception.

The road uopini is so hard to find, at least we have to call a texi, that cost us much:( and the breakfest is in the next B&B, the staff didn't told us last night, while no staff appeared until 9 in the morning, so we miss the breakfest, that's realy upset us...

Prestation, accueil, localisation au top !!! Je conseille à tous le monde d'y faire une halte. Merci.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, exactly what we were looking for! Just far enough away from the centre. The grounds were just gorgeous. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to come back next year.

amaxing place we will definetly come back to stay again

We had the best time ever at L'Aia! Everything was perfect-from the room to the atmosphere to the VIEW of Tuscany! There was 4 of us who are all 19 and 20 and I think this place is perfect for anyone-20 or 85! The tour of the Chianti wine country was amazing and we had the best tour guide-Maria! Anyone staying in Siena should definitely do this tour. You can set it up right at the reception desk! We absolutely loved L'Aia and recommend it to everyone going to Siena!

We would encourage having better directions written for how to get to the checkin location. I would suggest to people to just get a taxi from the train/bus station. Overall we had a wonderful time and it was absolutely beautiful. Thank you to the hostess for all of her wonderful suggestions, advice and help. The hot water in our room ran out after two people but we all tried to get ready very quickly and it may have been our fault!

Far from the heart of Siena. If you dont have a car, you will need a taxi to reach it. 10 minute car ride to the train station. The house itself is great - complete with a nice kitchen and a vineyard. Great view. More like a villa than a hotel. Great place to stay for a night.

Buildings lovely, we had one room in house. Communal kitchen but missing everyday items - no cutlery, plates, essential corkscrew!! Only pizzaria nearby. Def need a car. Also reception is actually a 5 min drive away hence two addresses given.

LOVED L'Aia, beautiful surroundings and a great place to relax, also quite romantic. Would definitely stay here again.

A Georgous place, beatiful gardens, view of the surrounding hills. Room was very nice. Need a car in order to see Siena as it was just out of town. We would definately come back here.
