La Casa del Dante is an amazing place built in the small mountains of Guanajuato. The place is well maintained with some of the nicest staff I have ever met staying in hostels, and one of the nicest views of Guanajuato from the balcony or certain rooms. Dante is super chido (Mexican slang for cool) and very helpful. If you don't mind walking up a few steps to the hostel it will definitely be worth it.

This hostel is great, best breakfast I've probably ever is a hostel. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the town is well worth a visit. I only wish more people did visit so the hostel had more of an atmosphere. The only real downside is the hostel is about a 15 minutes walk from the city centre but that's balanced out by an amazing view of a very unique city. Stay at casa de Dante its great.

This is probably the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The breafats are incredible and the set-up of the rooms, rooftop, communal spaces in great. It was a but quiet when we were there but I think that was because if the time if year. The only drawback is that the hostel is halfway up a very long, steep serif stairs. But that's good fitness :-)

There are 170 steps up but the view from the terrace is very good. When you arrive by bus, take a taxi for 40-50 pesos. It's a 20 minute walk to the center. The owner, Irene, is very kind and the breakfast is good.

Amazing people that work there. Really nice, great atmosphere. The breakfast in the morning is simply amazing, typically mexican. If I come back I'll definitely go back to Casa de Dante.

I like hostels where the owner is passionate about their place and excited to meet their guests, and Doña Elena (the owner) is the perfect example of this. And for me, that's why this hostel is worth the visit. It's not just about packing backpackers into bunk beds, but about welcoming them to a new city and making them feel they have a new home.
