The best hostel ever where i have stayed. The location was little far from the central but it costs 3soles by taxi to the center. Moreover, they allowed us to stay the hostel until our Bus time at night. Everything was perfect(clean kitchen, fast wifi, cleanness and so on). Would highly recommend this hostel!!!

I'm not one for leaving reviews but this hostel really deserves one! Gilf and his family make you feel at home instantly and are so so helpful. We booked for one night and have stayed for 4 now! We rented equipment from Gilf for the Santa Cruz trek and his knowledge allowed us to do it with no guide. We handed over a wet tent and washing on our return and Gilf ordered us a takeaway pizza and all still with his big smile! Service here has been above and beyond and we would definitely recommend!!

Great vibes and super friendly staff. Owner is knowledgeable about the Hikes and Climbs in area

La casa de Maruja was the best choice for Huaraz. Very clean and a perfect breakfast with fresh orange juice. The owners were very friendly and gave us some great informations. We definitly can recommend this place!

A little out of town, but a great place. Gilf is the best host. A home away from home.

I spent two nights at La Casa de Majura and can highly recommend it. I came with an overnigt bus from Lima and the best thing was to arrive and have a hot shower and a super clean room. The owner is very friendly and helped me to organise day trips. Even tough its a bit further out, taxis (4-5 sol) or collectivos (1 sol) run frequently close bye.

La Casa de Maruja was an amazing stay and we would recommend it to anyone planning to visit Huaraz. It's a little out of the centre but combis and taxis are cheap. There aren't a lot of stores or shops nearby, so if you want to cater yourself, bring food from town. Otherwise everything was great. Gilf and his family were always kind, welcoming and helpful. We felt secure and comfortable and the breakfast was great. Gilf was knowledgeable of the tours, helped us book and gave us recommendations.

Excellent staff, very friendly and excellent for organising tours or hiking excursions. Internet is very good. Only downside it slightly out of town location (only 1 Soles colectivo fare) and can be a little cold in the rooms. Overall fantastic place to stay if visiting for a hiking/climbing trip as the owner can provide all the gear/contacts and info required. Breakfast is included too and good value

An excellent b&b. Tasty breakfast included in price- available from 6am so great before doing any trekking. Very helpful for organising tours, cruise del sur bus tickets, and general advice on the area. Can organise treks for you-they are on the upper end of the scale compared to what you can get in the town but you get what you pay for. Also laundry service available which is very useful after few days camping in mountains.
