La Casa de Maruja BB

We had the best stay ever. The family who runs the place are the sweetest and most helpful. They sorted all of our hikes for a decent price as well. They also made dinner upon request, and it was a different nice meal with dessert every day. Very talkative, kind and not afraid to crack a joke or two. They also made us a lunchbox for the Laguna 69 with juice and chocolate in it, which was super nice and helpful on the hike! The hostel it self also had everything you need. 10/10!

If you visit Huaraz to see the amazing nature the area offers, this is the perfect place to stay! Maruja and Gilf are so sweet and knowledgeable about tours & trekking, and they are always happy to help you make the most of your time in Huaraz and book any tour or trek. They helped me when I had altitude sickness providing me a home made tea and soup as well as incredibly useful information about my condition.! They let me check in early after my 6:30 am bus from Lima too! You must stay here!

We LOVED our stay here! Maruja and Gilf are so incredibly helpful and lovely, the food was amazing and the hostel very clean and gorgeous. We also had dinner here every night which was delicious and they helped my partner when she was sick before we set off to Huayhuash. Can 100% recommend if you want a chill place to land in Huaraz. It’s a bit out of the main town but Collectivos come all the time for 2 soles to the town centre so it’s very fine 💓💓
