I love this place. It's about 15 minute walk from the town center so it's quiet and you get some exercise walking up the hill. The family who owns it is SO nice. Good breakfast, hot showers (unless you're the 1st in the morning - it literally takes 10 minutes to warm up). They set us up on an AMAZING 1-day jungle tour. Be sure to take it. The owner and his son both speak pretty good english. Banos has such amazing scenery. They did our laundry for $1.5 / kg.
We arrived early at 6.30 ,nobody open the door for us. We have to wait for an hour in front of the door. The owner said I didn't email her to tell about the arrival time. But finally in the end she didn't check her mail, so she didn't know that I will be there. Hostel is clean , comfortable bed ,15 minutes walk from center ,breakfast is limited but good. Wifi is good.
Great little place tucked away from The busy town square. We felt very safe with the gated doors to even get into the hostel grounds. Nice and relaxing atmosphere. Free coffee and breakfast in the morning was an added bonus but don't dare ask for seconds!!
We really liked this hostel right up until check out, when they lost serious points. We asked if we could leave our bags in their luggage room while we cycled out to the waterfalls. Turns out you can only leave bags for free until 2pm and after that it's "late checkout" for $3pp! Admittedly this includes use of wifi, bathroom
Cleanest hostel ever slept in. Really nice beds, had 2 greats nights sleep. 10 min. from the city. Didnt meet anyone, the hostel was very quiet. The owners are not very nice, but the breakfast was good.
The hostel itself is extremely clean with comfortable beds, amazing facilities and is easy to organize activities through. However I found the atmposhere to feel more like a B and B than a hostel. The cleanliness of the hostel is clearly a big concern for management which I found to be a little uncomfortable. I felt awkward from the amount of rules that the hostel upkept, such as not being allowed to use the communal kitchen before 12pm and being charged if dishes were not cleaned immediately.

In a quiet neighbourhood with a hammock filled front garden, bean bag lounge and big kitchen, this is a nice hostel for people who like to relax. The on site massage by the owner is fantastic - there's a stunning new treatment room and he's a real trained masseuse unlike many "masseuses" in town! Only 10 mins from the central square and close to many trails and both thermal baths. Had a lovely stay.
