I felt like I was a guest at Elba's home with the tasty breakfasts, nice outdoor terrace and cozy bean bag living room. She even offered me a local hot fruit "colada" while we chatted about Ecuador. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very clean and the showers were hot. I was so comfortable the whole time! The hostel is a 10 min walk uphill from town but right at the foot of the path to hike to the huge Virgen de Santa Agua statue. That also meant great views of the town and mountains. Stay here!
Great hostel The lady working there is super nice and helpful There Is man who works there also who's not helpful and doesn't really know what's going on
Staff here are excellent, friendly & helpful. The location is under 10 min from buses and centre (Banos is small), & very close to walking trails. The place is spotless, & breakfasts amongst the best you'll get included. This place has a good atmosphere, comfy beds, room storage, & great showers. The only downside was the wifi was poor, & although they are happy to store luggage there was no secure area for it... it sits at the bottom of the stairs, (still there when we got back though!)
Incredible hostel! Very helpful staff, magnificently clean and organized rooms, friendly atmosphere, and everything a hostel should have! May all hostels learn from La Casa del Molino Blanco. One of the best I've ever seen.
Pretty decent place to stay in Banos. Location is not really central, but the hostel has a great atmosphere and is spotless. Incredible showers, too!
Amazing hostel! After having travelled for 9 months it's nice staying in such a good hostel again. It's a tiny hostel and that's why it has such an intimate atmosphere. It's easy to meet people here. The facilities are amazing! The hostel is extremely clean and the showers are amazing. The best thing about the hostel is the staff, they treat you amazingly well and really do their best to make your stay unforgettable. Thanks Elba!!
The staff is very helpfull and friendly. When we arrive one of my friends didn t have accommedation and even thou the hostel was full the staff offered her to stay in one of her childrens room and then move in to our dorm the next day. During my secound day me and my friend went canoying and the lend us clean towls since all our stuff got soak during the rain the day before. The breakfast is the best I have been offered in Ecuador and the room are light and clean. I really recommend this hostel!
One of the best hostels I've stayed at in Latin America! The owners are very friendly and make you feel right at home. The beds are so comfy and the showers awesome. It is like going to stay at your rich aunt's house! Had 3 excellent nights here and was perfect for chilling out. Would definitely return!
Great, clean place with comfy beds. There's one guy who works there who isn't very helpful and is a bit rude but other than that our stay was great. Nice breakfast included as well!

Best hostel I've been! Really nice rooms, with confy beds. Very clean and safe. Beautiful place, with a terasse and a hammock. Very good breakfast included. Aroud 10 minutes by walk of the center of the city. The owners are really nice, they even gave us sandwichs when we left early in the morning. You can book tours with them (same price as agency downtown). You should go!
Very nice Hostel, they have everything you need. A lot of movies which is really nice for rainy days, the breakfast is really nice, rooms are nice and clean with really comfy beds. The owner is just so nice, recommend this place so much!
Lovely family run hostel in the san jose area of banos. Away from the main party area so it was quiet but also steps away from the some hiking points. Light breakfast in the morning was nice, you can rent bikes from them as well. Movie / relax area upstairs was nice
Hosted by a friendly family who were more than accomodating. An array of foods for breakfast. Large kitchen with all necessary facilities. TV room with a myriad of films. A short 5 minute walk into town. Highly recommend this hostel to everyone!
Awesome. Great breakfast (even catered to my gluten free diet - a rarity in South America, just let the owner know and she'll work something out), nice new bedding, super hot showers, speedy wifi! No complaints!
The staff was great! It was very clean. An all around great place to stay!

The staff was very helpful and I appreciated that they would speak spanish to me, a gringa. It was great practice for me! The breakfast was great, the hostel was very clean, the space is very inviting. It is a little bit removed from the center of town but easily walkable. I highly recommend this hostel!
