This is an Ashram. Good value for the Rupee. Facilities are nice by Indian standards. Located in a neighborhood far from the touristy area, not central, but accessible by the cheap city bus system. Not at all easy to find, but the locals will point the way and there is a clear sign on the wall. For anything beyond the basics, you pay extra - they have a clear price list. Forget the washer - clothes still dirty and sopping wet, so I didn't pay. Most importanly, filter water & WIFI is free.

Possibly, if WiFi connection could be extended to all rooms, it will be nice. Also, if water cans can be kept on each floor, it will help.

The approach to the Hotel is bad, in terms of it being located a bit off the main road. But this is a definite value for money! Extremely clean room and white sheets. There is a computer room with access to internet and printers, There is also a kitchen (i did not use it) which you are free to use. And it is 10 min walk to the beach. The restaurants around were mainly non-vegetarian but some vegetarian places around are Balaji tiffin centre, the restaurant in Hotel Sarguru.

A very basic stay, a small room without a view and littel ventilation, the fan was to noisy, so have a good ear-wax with you. There is nothing to complain concerning cleaness and friendlyness of the crew. Frank and Wa from Berlin, together with more than 140 years life experience

The place is very nice if you are looking for a quiet stay and a pleasant company, the location is about half an hour walking distance from the french area but is a nice walk also is on the way to Auroville so it can turn out to be convenient. The staff is very kind and they’re more friends than staff and the people you meet there are not the drunk kind of person is more the people with a lot of interesting stuff to say. Hardly recommended!!!

We got everything that we expected for the prices paid. The room was very clean and even the towers were provided. Also I was surprised that there is wifi connection and pc room! The location is also very comfortable it is just 15 min walk from promenade.
