Wow this hostel is beautiful. It's a 15 minute walk from town, but the location is well worth it. The views are amazing, and the hostel cooks dinner (around 12 mil) which is always delicious. It would be nice if there were more hammocks, but for the most part there was always at least one open. Many travelers we met ended up staying here longer than they originally intended because it's such a beautiful and peaceful place.

Super chill hostel. Stayed for 5 nights and had a great time. Both volunteers and paid staff are very friendly and available for useful information. View from the hostel is simply beautiful. It's a short hike to get there, but very enjoyable. Jeeps will bring you for 6000. Beds may not be the most comfy, but personally I've slept perfectly. Highly recommended! Salento is a cute village, by the way, and the hike in Valle de Cocora GREAT!

Wow!!! We just stayed in the best hostel in South America! Location is stunning, great views over the valley!!! Every morning they serve a fabulous breakfast in 'the restaurant' and for a little amount of money you can upgrade to fresh smoothies, pancakes etc. Every night you can join for dinner, also for a little amount of money. Food was great! Atmosphere an character were awesome!! Great to watch movies with other people at night. Can't think of one negative point!

Our private room smell dump. It was nobody's fault, really. When we spoke to reception about it ,they not only thanked us for our feedback, they offered a good discount at check out. The staff genuinily cares about their guests. Horse riding booked through them was INCREDIBLE. Highly recommended.

Beautiful hostel about 1km away from the town center of Salento. It was a hassle to go into town at night (should catch a jeep for COP 6.000 to be safe) but otherwise a lovely place to stay. The family dinner was delicious. The common areas were a little too dark at night, hard to read outside of your room. Sad to say that the bed was the most uncomfortable I've slept in in Colombia. I woke up a few times each night I was there.

Awesome atmosphere, really warm old-style farm house with big rooms. Staff are so helpful and the food is fantastic, including for vegetarians. Included breakfast is either 2 eggs and toast or fruit. The communal kitchen is big but gets hectic at night. A lovely 20 minute walk into Salento town. One of my favourite places to stay through central and south america.

We stayed in a room a little way from the main hostel which was not clear at the time of booking. That said the room was great although there was a slight smell caused by dampness I believe. Food was average.

I Stayed here last year, and just got done spending some time here again earlier this week. Amazing place. I will be returning again in the future. Those who come usually extend their stay as I have twice now.... Make sure you stay for burrito nite :) One of the best views at a hostel that I have ever stayed at. Jon

You couldnt wake up to a more beautiful morning, sit out, eat your free breakfast, and look at gorgeous scenery in all directions. The showers had hot water, there was internet, tv room and movies, and hammocks. Also a very nice kitchen. It is a short, and safe walk to town, a longer walk to the plantations, but a jeep comes by everyhour at a reasonable taxi rate. TV in bedroom used plug that would not work in outlets, no converter available. Shouldnt be advertised as feature of my room

Exactly what we needed after the bustle of the big cities. Lots of like minded travellers (outdoorsy activities by day, cards and red wine/beer at night), gorgeous location outside of town, either delicious fruit salad or eggs included for brekkie, and dinner was both yummy and a good way to meet others. Only issue was the showers which weren't always hot.

it's a pretty chilled hostel but it's got plenty of character and it attracts a good mix of travellers. the free breakfasts are good and the optional evening meal is great value

One of the best hostels I ever stayed in. It's 2km outside the center but therefore it's very quiet and an excellent place to relax. I had an awesome stay.

Very beautiful hostel surrounded by a very beautiful landscape. A bit far from the village, which has its seasonal advantages (we went during Ferias and the noise from the village was very annoying if you wanted to sleep). I didn't like the fact of having at least four people sleeping on the floor of the main room and the cleanliness of the showers (which it was hard to find one that worked). Recommended in comparison to other hostels in the area if you don't mind walking a lot to buy food.

Great hostel for a relaxing few days away from the city. The views are some of the best I have ever had at a hostel. Wifi here did not work very often, which was really the only problem. The dinners are great quality food and Mark was such an awesome help for me any time I needed anything.
