great room, really big & on suite was massive, loved the place was very interesting to explore. quiet hostel, had large kitchen area but no lounge. shame had to pay to use computers. 10 minute walk to station, staff are really nice
Really Nice hostel and friendly staff. The breakfast is definitely worth the money and the guest kitchen was Well equipped. The hostel is a bit out of center but the scenic location was worth it
Langholmen was wonderful! So interesting. Great breakfast, very nice reception. Thanks so much for having us!
The hostel is an old prison but has been excellently renovated into a hostel and hotel. I stayed in the hostel part which was amazing. Very clean, warm (we stayed in December) and the staff were very accommodating.
Lovely place to stay, great guest kitchen and amazing breakfast buffet! The walk from train station isn't so long, maybe 10 mins.
Unique, and definitely worth staying here. Obviously an awful lot of money spent on this place and attention to detail was excellent. Pretty quiet when we were there so a little frustrating that the staff were often on the phone when we needed them. The common room wasn't used and is a good joke up 2 flights of stairs, but the facilities in the kitchen were very good. Breakfast was at the hotel next door (access over an indoor bridge)but a pricey 98 krone to eat there. It was very nice however.
This place is great. Such a cool concept. Even the hostel part seems like a hotel. The rooms are spacious and it is very modern and clean. It's annoying you have to pay extra for sheets but that seems to be a thing in Stockholm in general. The breakfast seems expensive but trust me its worth it! It's a proper hotel buffet. You can fill yourself up for the whole day.
It's a nice hostel, with and incredible experience, after all, you are going to sleep in a prison cell. BUT, some not so good aspects worth being mentioned. The location of the hostel is not that good, because you have to take a 20 minutes walk for the closest metro station, and the hostel is not located in the touristic area of the city. Besides that, if you are not a member of Hostelling International (and I wasn't), you'll be charged an extra SEK 50, approximatelly 6 €, supplement per night.
Stayed one weekend at Langholmens Hostel and enjoyed it. You'll be sleeping in a prison cell and the peculiar atmosphere made it interesting. It is located on a small island, not so close to the centre but you can reach a metro station or bus stop in 10 min walk. Nice guest kitchen and clean toilets. Recommended if you want to try something different.
Wonderful and comfortable hotel with all the facities you need. I liked the guestkitchen especially ))
A bit boring and I found it hard to meet people. Not a very good place to hang out. Also 2 out of 4 lockers in our room was broken. On the plus side it was very clean, ok location and an intressting history. Breakfast was also good considering the cheap price at only 98 SEK.
Staff is very friendly and helpful, place and bathrooms clean and nice, comfortable bed. Unique experience and I would definitely go back.

The hostel is nice, clean and in a good position. It has an interesting history and the sourrounding of the island are beautiful. It is also quite compared to other hostel I've been to and that was perfect for me, who want to enjoy and relax without noise. The room are simple, but clean and spacious ( I was in a 4 bed dorm). Would definitely recommend it. Only thing to me: bed sheets should be included in the price!

I was happy with my stay. I liked the room very much - more space than what I expected for a converted cell, with a large bathroom, safe, and TV. The wi-fi connection was consistent. The location was great, as it was near a T station. It would have been less convenient if I had resolved to get everywhere by foot though. It felt very safe walking to and from the hostel early in the morning or late at night. I did not use the kitchen or restaurant but it was good to know they were available.
This hostel is also a hotel which they pride themselves on a bit more. The hostels kinda seems like an after though. Saying that though they have a huge kitchen and good showers. Also the dorm rooms are connected to the museum which is good to see but also means that after having a shower you can be greeted by 30 tourists as you head back to your room. Didnt really speak to anyone here as there isnt really a common area.
Such a cool place to stay in. It's well worth the hike to get there. The island it's on is beautiful. My group stayed one night and then 2 nights in downtown Stockholm. Perfect itinerary. Great showers. Very clean. Small rooms but that's the point....it's a prison.
It's a welcoming and interesting place to stay!
