I really enjoyed my stay at Langholmen. It was perfectly located and the surroundings were beautiful. It was my first stay at a hostel and I could not have had a nicer stay. The hostel was super clean, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful and even though it took me a little time to adjust to the idea of staying in a museum, everything was so organised and straight forward and most of all relaxed. Even the dolls didn't make me feel uneasy after the second day. Tack så mycket!!!

Actually I couldn't recommend this hostel. It's not cheap hostel, but you have to pay more for everything - for cleaning, for bedlinen, another fee and so on. Rooms are extremely small. Location's not so bad, but it's not a center at all and it's rather far anyway. We didn't take a breakfast, can say nothing about it

We booked a room with shared bathroom and twin bed, but instead we had a private bathroom with bunk bed.

Very nice and fancy Hostel although cleanliness of the men's restrooms might have been better. Don't expect the typical hostel-atmosphere (no common-room, more of a hotel with a shared kitchen and shared restrooms). You'll have to clean your room upon check-out and don't forget to bring your own bed linen!

went there with our 11 month old son for a weekend trip. friendly staff, good breakfast for a good value in the affiliated hotel, very clean room (cell :) ) with nice bathroom; location close to Sodermalm (nice cafes and shops), 30 minutes walk to Gamla Stan; you can also reach the metro within 10 minutes walk - perfect stay in Stockholm :-)

Stayed for 2 nights in the 3-bed-room (ensuite). The hostel is in a old prison, so its a pretty unique experience to sleep im there. Its located a bit outside of STHM centre, but the next metro station (10 min walk) will bring you in the centre in just a few minutes. Also a supermarket is available in a 10 min walk. The 3-bed-room is too small for 3 persons. The ensuited bathroom is great, especially the shower. Didnt have the breakfast. Under the line: Never slept in a prison before, so try it!

Great Hostel! Cleanest and most beautiful Hostel I ever booked. It's character is more like a Hotel than a Hostel. Our 3-beded room was with an own bathroom. The Bathroom was absolutely clean and rather 'luxury'.

Really enjoyed the 4 days we spent at Langholmens. I was a bit surprised that we were expected to clean the room or pay for it to be done on checkout. Otherwise very good overall.

A reasonable friendly hostel with character in a beatiful location in Stockholm. We enjoyed the walks along the riverside with the boatlife and historic buildings only half an hours walk from Gamla Staden. At the reasonable rate for rooms we could afford the excellent breakfast and dinner in convivial surroundings, good service and friendly staff.

Very nice location! Beautiful building¬ that far from metro (Hornstull, 10min.walk). Not noisy on peaceful green island&rather clean. A little expensive for us: €27/night+€5/night because no international hostel member+ some €€'s for the towels&sheets = a lot, the breakfast for €9 seemed us also rather expensive for a hostel. Part of the staff didn't realy understand english, but after all no real problems on that point. If you have the money, totally worth it!

Great hostel - really cool to be staying in the prison museum and the room was fine. Handy to have a pub/restaurant there as well. You can even get a lock box in the fridge to keep your snacks safe. Only problem is that it's not very central, but it is only a 10 minute walk from the Tunnelbana and the island it's set on is lovely - even has a little beach.

We were very impressed with the accommodations and found them clean and the jail concept interesting. It was very confusing trying to find the hostel as a new visitor to Sweden, and a long way to drag luggage when you don't know exactly where you should be going. The island was beautiful but a trek into Stockholm city centre. Free wifi in rooms, great water pressure in nice bathrooms,a TV and phone were appreciated.

Clean, nice, easy, friendly. Located on a beautiful green island where you are close to nature in the midst of Stockholm City. Curious history.

Nice place, quiet, very quaint. Not very close to the city center but near a metro station at three stops from the center. Staff very very kind. Pleasant and enjoyable stay.

A really characterful hostel with excellent friendly staff. Once on the island signposting for the hostel wasn't very clear but the surroundings and beach area were lovely. The hostel shares facilities with the hotel so breakfast is high quality but expensive (90 SEK, £9). Having said that everything is expensive in Sweden and you just have to get used to it, even buying stuff from the supermarket instead isn't a cheap option.
