A great place to stay. You are actually staying in their house and always feel more than welcome. The best part was having drinks in the back yard bar with Lorenc and the other guests. It was a great night having a few beers and wines. The hostel is easily reached from the main bus station by a local bus or taxi. Or you can walk the 45 minutes like we did. The restaurant "The White House" across the river had awesome wood fire pizzas too.
This was a wonderful place to stay in Berat. The home is lovely and the garden is beautiful. The location could not be more picturesque. Lorenc and his family were so kind and hospitable. We loved our stay here.
in general the family is very nice; just the first evening i was taking shower and someone peeked through the window from the garden. once i was done and stepped out the toilet door, the owner asked me if i had washed my clothes in the sink! it was really scary! so the next evening i bathed in another toilet instead. there's no locker by the way. also i joined tour to waterfall and got free map and guidance from the Berat Backpackers next door. people are much friendlier and helpful there.
I enjoyed staying here. Friendly staff and people and you can sit in the garden smoking and drinking coffee. They have a nice cat as well.
Brilliant. Thank you Lorenc and family for hosting me.
Very special place in a historic part of the town, overlooking the river, old town and the castle area. Not a typical place for backpackers but a very nice place to enjoy the garden, vineyard, food and drink. Great host, Lorenc and his family and lovely daughter "Dora" will make your stay very comfortable.
Living in 400 years old house was wonderful. Location is quiet and back yard is beautiful. We got a room with 4 beds but no wardrobe so we kept our clothes on the extra bed. In guest's kitchen there was no dishes. Lorenc and his mother were really nice and helpfull.
Lorenc is very popular between backpackers but services are very poor: bed, bathroom, wifi. Breakfast is 3 healthy fried toast with a small piece of cheese and a cup of tea-coffee; and if you are not in time, at 9,30 arrive his mother...Safety is poor: no lockers, keys, easily access from the Street during the day:.Only 1 PowerPoint in the 5 bed dorm and no traces of healing in this cold and rainy season.A little overpriced for the albanian standard and for the services.
