WiFi is available, location is good and Lorenc is a gent. Lorenc's house is right next to Berat backpackers which is also a nice place, I think these two give you a good choice between an Albanian home-stay experience and the more typical backpacker crash site.

My stay in Berat would not have been nearly as fun and memorable had I not stayed at Lorenc Guesthouse. The family is warm and inviting, the house is a living museum and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxing. Internet is available, and the rooms are spacious with beautiful,high wooden ceilings. The location is a good starting point for exploring the ancient city and castle- I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a visit to Berat. And if you're lucky, maybe Lorenc will sing for you!

Berat it\'s a beautiful place to go and definitely Lorenc Guesthouse is a great place to stay. Lorenc was very helpful about the places to visit in Berat and his house was warm and clean, they really take care of you! I would love to return in summer and enjoy the guesthouse yard.

Lorenc guesthouse is a real charming place in the beautiful old town of Berat. The house is a traditional Albanian house and one of the oldest of Berat. So, the place has a lot of character ! Lorenzo is a perfect host and his homemade Rakija is really good ! :D He took the time to explain to us the history of the house and Berat, that was really interesting and kind. During the summer it should be the perfect place to stay as you could enjoy a lot the beautiful garden and view from it ! :)

Lorenc Guesthouse was an absolutely fantastic stay in one of the most beautiful towns and locations in Albania. The owner, Lorenzo, is the perfect example of Albanian hospitality, friendliness, and kindness, and was an amazing host. He personally served us breakfast every morning, gave us great insights regarding the town of Berat and the surrounding areas (including great advice on day trips and city activities) and helped us get to our next destination. Plus was a fantastic live opera singer!
