There were no kitchen facilities,no kettles. When I wanted to make tea , had to ask hot water for staff. Manager strongly recommended his housemade dinner, but it was not cheap.
People have to walk through the dorm room to get to the garden and one of the bathrooms which is a bit odd. Lorenzo and his mother are great though.
Gr8t location in the historical part of the town, a house you will soon not have possibility to stay in again, I guess. Beautiful garden. Nice staff especially the old lady creating the atmosphere like you were visiting your own grandmother. Even though I was moved to other room without being said about it I got on with the owner rather well.”
The garden was lovely and our room had a great view over the river. But we had no key to our private room and there were far too many people sharing 1 bathroom. The hallway we had to walk through to get to our room from outside and to the bathroom had 2 people sleeping in it. To get to the garden, we had to walk through 1 of the dorms. This could be a great guesthouse but Lorenc just trys to pack in too many people, and this was out of the peak season. We moved to the backpackers next door.

Lorenc was very kind, and his food and diner very nice. We had a great time in this family like guesthouse. Simple but all you need.
We had a wonderful stay at Lorenc. Great location in a 17th Century inn and lovely company and views, views. Breakfast under the grape vines with free aria's in the evenings. The absence of airco's was not a problem, even in mid summer, as a breeze keeps flowing from the mountains.

This place is just charming. It's not a five star Hotel. But a place where you can stay to relax and enjoy. The garden is wonderful and the owners are awesome. The lack of AC is a Little Problem. But if you just do it as the locals do... will say stay home and don't move during the hottest hours of the day, it works quite well. Although there are no directions it's not a problem to find it. Just go to the side of the river and ask someone. Many people seem to know it.
Wifi worked well Lack of air conditioner during the day was a little annoying as weather was really hot but it was cool at night so that was fine. Lorenzo and his family are really friendly and i do like the authentic Ottoman feel of the place. Its situated within the unesco site and isnt too far from the berat castle (we took a cab up which costs 500 leks).
