Feel more like a hotel than hostel. Great facilities, convenient location and friendly stuffs. Not very social place though.

The map makes it look right next to Munich hopbanhauf and not one station from it, which is why we booked it due to its closeness to the station

A nice friendly hostel in a good location in Munich. It is about a 10 minute walk from the hauptbahnhof, and a 20 minute walk to the town centre. Good for a weekend stopover!

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE, IF THEY WOULD HAVE HAD A KITCHEN AS THEY CLAIM TO HAVE IN THEY ADVERTISEMENT´PAGE , SO THERE´S NO WAY TO PREPARE YOUR OWN CAFE OR MEALS AND THEREFORE YOU HAVE TO SPEND A LOT MORE MONEY THAN PLANED. THE ROOMS ARE VERY AGREABLE AND CLEAN AND NICE BATHROOMS

Modern and clean hotel with lots of faclities (most with a charge). Friendly staff. The kitchen was under renovation and there is no access to a fridge. The breakfast was a little too expensive. The walk into the Old Town was approx 20 minutes however it is very onvenient to the train and bus station.

The thing I like most about this hostel is there are two female rooms in 6th floor. As a single girl, I feel much safer living in female room. The location is good, the room is clean, the staff is warm heart, the price is acceptable. In all, I will choose this hostel in the future is I need it.

My biggest issue was the fact that they advertised a kitchen that is being remodeled and is unavailable. Right now it's very hard to self-cater at this hostel. Otherwise security was good and staff helpful, sheets clean and atmosphere nice. Washing machines are tricky! Ask a staff member who knows to come down with you.

I thought the staff could have been more helpful than they were. I didn't feel welcome at the hostel. It also would have been nice if they organized walking tours or pub crawls or something. But overall, it wasn't a horrible place. Not my first choice of hostel if I return, but I wouldn't refuse to stay there again when I go back to Munich

Great location to the carnival/tents for Sprigfest, but a tram or subway into the city. Also about a 15 minute walk from the train station.

More of a hotel with good value dorms than a hostel; its huge. Well placed for the main train station and Theresienwiese which is used for beer festivals, but a fair walk from the city centre. Kitchen was closed for refurbishment while I was there.

Very good value, helpful multi-lingual staff, 10 minute walk from all major attractions, locked bag-storage for free, quality rooms.

we were'nt happy that we werent informed that the kitchen was being refurbished - the staff gave us hot water but we would have found another hostel if knew this beforehand.

I stayed just for a Saturday night. Everything was great except for the shower. It was clogged, so the water was over my feet. However, besides that, I had a great time! I met some fun people, had courteous roommates, and enjoyed the lounge area that the hostel offered! I was able to walk into the center of town in about 30 minutes and I felt safe. The bierhalle across the street was also a great time. I would stay here again.

This hostel is one of the biggest that we've ever stayed in. It is very much like a hotel in that sense. The staff are helpful and they have the regular amenities you expect at a hostel. It was a little far outside of the city. However, we visited during Springfest (like Oktoberfest) and it was close to those grounds. Overall it was a nice stay, the beds were clean and a nice hot shower.

We have never before stayed in a hostel, and as a first experience we were both pleasantly surprised! We really liked Meininger and will be using it also in other cities where it's available! Thank you, it was a pleasant stay in München. :)
