This hostel is one of the biggest that we've ever stayed in. It is very much like a hotel in that sense. The staff are helpful and they have the regular amenities you expect at a hostel. It was a little far outside of the city. However, we visited during Springfest (like Oktoberfest) and it was close to those grounds. Overall it was a nice stay, the beds were clean and a nice hot shower.

We have never before stayed in a hostel, and as a first experience we were both pleasantly surprised! We really liked Meininger and will be using it also in other cities where it's available! Thank you, it was a pleasant stay in München. :)

I got my one night at a good price, but really this was more just a place for me to sleep. Rooms as always are great at these Meininger hostels. Guests, often not as fun as other hostels. They should give a free welcome drink on arrival to get some people in the bar

No complaints about this hostel. Everything was clean, and the staff was very helpful. The location is excellent (5 minute walk to a train station, and about 10-15 minute walk from the city centre). I didn't partake in the breakfast that was offered for nearly 6 euros (you pay every day). I thought that's a bit steep, especially if your stay is more than a day or two. Other than that, loved it!

Very disappointed with our stay here - staff were extremely unpleasant and rude at times. Our rooms were very unsatisfactory and overall the pictures presented on hostelworld were far from what we were greeted with.

Not bad for the price. Was not the cleanest, and stayed in a room with 6 others who went out and stayed out really late every night. Did not get much sleep but from that stand point, however that was not the hostels falt. Basic and good for price. It was also a bit a ways from the train station.. Not a walking distance.

We stayed there for 2 nights. At first we booked 8 beds at a 14 bed dorm room! But then i wanted to cancel the one bed because one of us couldn't come but the guy who read the email understood that i wanted to cancel the whole reservation and he cancelled it!! That was the night before we were supposed to go to munich! Then followed an email chaos for me trying to explain that i wanted to reactivate the reservation but no one answered me until one hour before we had the meeting to depart for mun

if there're more washing machines in the laundry room, that would be great!

Good Wifi facility. The staff's were really helpful and guided us well. Breakfast could have been a bit better though it was not that bad. Nice area to stay.

A little further away from the city center than most other hostels, Meininger is still a great place. Spacious rooms, free wifi, a bar, grocery store nearby, and right across the street from a beer hall. Would highly recommend.

paid for a 10 bed mixed dorm and got upgraded to a 4 bed female dorm with ensure bathrooms!! everything was very clean, wifi worked sometimes in the room but really well in the lounge/bar area, staff was really helpful and spoke English really well, about 30 min walk from city center but really easy to find, just a straight walk down the main road, the augustiner brewery is right across the street!! munich's best beer for about 25% cheaper than other bars in the city!!

This was a great place to stay for a night passing through the city. It is easily accessible from the main train station and has decent nightlife around it. Everything was clean and the staff was very helpful with any requests or questions. For the price this hostel can't be beat in Munich.
