Sharing the bathroom in the 12 person dorm was somewhat frustrating, but it was great overall
The hostel staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. They were well presented and worked very hard despite the busy reception area. I was very impressed by how calmly they were able to meet needs of backpackers with patience and care. One staff member 'Yoko' was incredibly enthusiastic with a permanent friendly smile on her face. As the first member of staff I'd met, she really made me feel welcome and was very keen to offer support. The hostel was clean & had good facilities.
Not in a very pretty part of Munich but very close to trans and trains. Wifi that actually worked in the rooms was a bonus. Clean and modern hostel.
I slept in a 6-people-dorm and my roommates meant to run around and take showers after 12 p. m. That wasn't really considerately. Perhaps the staff can give a hint in the rooms or at reception to be more calm at midnight.
Like all the Meiningers, you get hotel quality in a hostel environment. Huge room which was always clean and easy enough to socialize. Two great beer halls are only minutes away and it's an easy walk to get into the city centre or to the metro.
This hostel was pretty average. The kitchen is very small and hard to work in if there are multiple people. The rooms were nice and spacious. The shared bathroom was a bit dirty, it didn't appear that anyone cleaned it the entire time we were there. The common room was nice but could get pretty loud at times. The wifi was pretty bad too.
Great staff! Awesome atmosphere, especially in the bar where you can meet people to party with if you're a lone traveller. A little more expensive than other places; however, you're paying for not just a place to sleep and shower - so its reasonable.
I was surprsied the rooms were mixed male female, but it was a bigger issue for the girls who arrived later

least impressive of meininger hotels that i have stayed in. kitchen was tiny, dirty, and lacked utensils. staff were impersonal. however location is good, security excellent as always, and common area had a really nice feel.
Very convenient to bus station; not as convenient to Hauptbahnhof (train station) as it might look from the map. City transit is nearby, and there's a great beer hall across the street. Hostel itself has nice furnishings, great bathrooms, and a decent if somewhat under-equipped kitchen. Has more of a budget hotel feel than the usual hostel social scene--so it's great if you want a break from that!
Easy access to the city center, even though it's a 20 mins walk or a 5 min tram. The place is cool
Second time staying in this hostel on the same trip. Meininger Munich is great! It's pretty cheap for how nice the place is and the size of the dormitory, and the staff are very friendly. Some nights the bar was packed, some absolutely no one so the mood is kinda hit or miss. A bit of a walk from the main part of Munich, but it's right across the street from a good Augustiner beer hall and not far from Paulaner Haus.
It is a little bit far away from the city centre but it is a straight road so it is easy to walk without getting lost. hostel-->main train station-->city centre...before going to city center, u can stop at main train station to grab some cheap food
nice and clean place, city center in walking distance. I would repeat I go to Munich again!

First time in 5 years to stay in a hostel. This was EXCELLENT. The staff was engaging and great. They handled the construction with no problem. The breakfast was great. They offered great restaurant choices and good advice on parking.
No outlet by my bed, so I was stuck sitting on the floor waiting for my phone to charge enough to use as an alarm. Also be aware that it is a 15 minute walk from the main train station if you are hauling all of your luggage. They also do not have large security lockers for your valuables before/after your checkout.
Newly renovated! Great staff!
A good clean friendly place.
Nice! But it is a bit far from the main station but still you can take S-bahn or tram so it wasn't that bad Clean and nice!
