We were very disappointed when we arrived at the hostel, they did not accept we had paid a deposit. The attitude of the staff was a dont care thats nothing to do with us. We were made to pay cash on arrival. The price was different to what we were quoted. The quality of the hostel was completely different to the images on the web site. The room had four beds but was basically a twin room and there was no space between the beds. We would not stay here again.

We got there a little early and was told to come back at 1. When we got back at 1 we were told to wait till 4. Hidden charges were mysteriously added on as we got there. However we did get a room for 5 in such a short period of time and it was a brilliant weekend

Maggys guesthouse was the perfect location and exactly what you want for a few days away in Amsterdam. The staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms aren't amazing but for the money you pay and the kind of holiday it is you can't fault it.

We stayed there for just one night. The room was on top floor. Room size was ok for 3 beds. Since there was no curtain, bathroom was always wet. The good thing is coffee&tea is free and you can smoke in the room And of course you have to face to climb those steep stairs if you want to rent a room in amsterdam :)
