Clean and secure hostel, nice staff. Breakfast was excellent. 5-10min walk away from the town centre.
Good location. Excellent staff! Very helpful and friendly helping us with tours and preparing our breakfast "to go". Definitely will reccomend to all of my friends.
Shower cubicles big and clean and hot water. No wifi reception in room. Patio chill out area had cat faeces in the gravel. Handy position for bus station but otherwise bit further out from central town.
We really enjoyed our stay, it was the best hostel in three month we travel for! Thank you very much :)
Vriendelijke staf, goede bedden, uitgebreid, ontbijt, mooie patio
Relaxed hostel to spend a few days in San Pedro and a good place to meet fellow travelers. You can easily book tours through the hostel, although they sometimes confuse bookings. Our airport pickup did not work and for one tour other names from the hostel were on the list instead of ours. Breakfast is very good, with eggs and fruit salad. A bit pricy, but that might just be San Pedro.
Loved it here. Amazing place. Staff are fantastic and extremely helpful. Great breakfast!!!! Comfortable beds. Definitely would return if I had the opportunity! Just a note that I don't think they organise anything in terms of events within the hostel, so it's chilled but you can't rely on there being BBQs or things like that to meet other travellers.
Very good. Staffs are very kind with all.

Good place to stay. For the ones who travel by bus to San Pedro the hostel is really close to the terminal. Not so close to the center of the city, like 1km walk. There's a mini market close to it. Nice beds, shower, Wi-Fi and for the ones like me that needed to leave too early and could not have the breakfast in the stablished time, they prepare breakfast for you to take in your trip. Good for people backpacking and also famílias.
Enjoyed my stay there and everything went well. No complaints
The hostal is conveniently located near to the bus terminal and is cleaned daily. The staff are friendly and eager to assist with requests and questions. They serve a hearty breakfast too. Great place to stay in San Pedro de Atacama.
Mamatierra is one of the best hostels we've stayed at during our travels around South America. It's a really clean place with a lovely atmosphere and an excellent breakfast. The staff is very professional and helped us to organise tours with a good company to Valle de la Luna and Laguna Cejar. The only downside is the noise. Our room was in front of the courtyard tables - as most rooms are - and people arriving late or leaving early to see the geysers always woke us up.
Had a lovely stay at Mamatierra, Atacama. The place was clean and had good hot water all the time. Breakfast was provided everyday and if you have to go early...they would pack the breakfast for you which was great!
My stay at Mamatierra was very nice. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They passed us the best informations about San Pedro. This was essential for our tip. Besides that the hostel is nice with a very good breakfast! Thanks for everything.

I thought this place was really lovely, more like a little hotel than a hostel. The room was really really nice and the breakfast was great. Its a bit further out of town but San Pedro is a small place so thats not really a problem. Its close to the bus station which is great. The only thing I found a bit weird was that there was no laundry facility. In three months of travel in South America, this is the first place that we were told no. We had to go into town and it cost us a bundle.
The most comfortable bed we have had in months of travel, switched on staff, easy to book tours, eggs and fruit for breakfast. What more could you ask for! San Pedro is a pricy place so it was great to have access to a kitchen. When we wanted to stay longer but they were booked out, they checked us in to Hostel Desert (a little further out of town but similarly comfortable and an excellent kitchen). If you go for early morning tour, your breakfast will be prepared to take with you.
Good wifi. Hot showers. Close to the main street. Would stay again.
Probably the best hostel we have stayed in in South America. If you're reading this review don't look any further in San Pedro!
