We stayed for 3 nights and in 2 months traveling in south america it was the best hostel we stayed at. Mijal the recpetipnist helped with everything from planning our trip and arranging documents for visas. The room was comfortable and was cleaned every day with a small bottle of mineral water per person every day. The breakfast was very good and wifi was great too.

Too much spray / air fresher being used to clean rooms

Very good very very clean hostel! They clean every day, hand you new towels and every other day they give you new bedsheets. The breakfast is really really good too- with eggs, bread, fresh fruit salad. They also make a lunch package for you when you have to get up and leave the hostel before 7 am (eg.: when you do the Atacama desert tours- Geysiers or Lagunas Altiplanicas). Its very close to the main street- but nothing is really far in San Pedro anyway... All in all: VERY GOOD!!!

Nice place to stay. Very good breakfast, even prepared individually for you when you have to go early. It's possible to use the facilities after checkout and the suggested tours have a good price and agency. Housekeeping is included, as well as soap and shampoo. Just three blocks from the main street (Caracoles), lots of people of other hostels do the same path all the time, you won't be alone. Thanks to Mijal for the attention!

This is an excellent hostel: the rooms are pretty and spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds. The wifi works and the staff is wonderfully helpful. The breakfast in the morning is a great touch, and if you leave for the airport before breakfast opens (as we did), they'll prepare you a breakfast-to-go pack, which is fabulous service. Only downside is that it's a good 10 minute walk to downtown, but still well worth it for a great stay.

Great stay. Everyone was very friendly. Stayed in the dorms, it gets a bit loud at night with the window facing the street and all the tour buses going by, not to mention all the dogs barking. I would definitely stay here again, the breakfast was fantastic (fresh bread, eggs, fruits, meat, cheese, cereals, yogurt, juice, coffee, etc) . Thanks for a great stay!

One of the best hostels we stayed in during our Chile-Trip. Very clean, extremely nice and helpful staff, great patio with a hammock. We also booked our tours at the hostel. We decided to stay a third night, but unfortunately there was no room available, so we went to another hostel for that night. The staff from Mamatierra offered us to come back the next afternoon, take a shower and grab as much coffee as we want - and wait for our shuttle to the airport, which they booked for us.

The owner was extremely helpful and lovely, the breakfast was amazing and free tea and coffee were available all day. The rooms were cleaned everyday and you're given towels on the bed which are fresh and fluffy not the usual gross towels you get from hostels.

I traveled alone and felt super compfty and would choose the same place if I ever come back. The stuff is extremely friendly and helpful, eg preparing your breakfast if you go on an early trip. They all speak a very good English which makes this place also pleasant for non-Spanish speaker. The facilities are clean, shower and WC separated, the kitchen is fully equipped and its possible to hand wash some of your clothes. This hostel definitely made me enjoying my trip even more.

Everyone at Mama Tierra was so kind and helpful – we booked all of our tours through them. They even packed us breakfast for the early morning when we visited the geysers! We were also pleased to return to our room in the evening and find our bed made. This hostel was a little farther away from the main town (10-minute walk) but the tour buses picked us up and dropped us off for each trip, so it didn't matter. Overall, a very comfortable, friendly place. We would recommend it and return again!

Nice place to stay. 10 minutes from the main street Caracoles, but this is not a problem. If you go to a tour before breakfast, they make you a breakfast to go. Nice staff also. You can book the 3 most important tours there with a good price.

The staffs and facilities are great. San Pedro de Atacama is a safe town but this hostel is a bit away from the centro.

Wonderful staff! They are very kind and helpfull, have a good breakfest. The city is very small so I think it was a great location since you don't have to walk a lot to go to the city center.

Great place to stay, but not that close to the city centre. Clean rooms and bathrooms, everything always seems to be in order. Excellent breakfast and WiFi! If you need to wake up early, you can order a "to go breakfast". Obviously would stay there again.

The hostel was nice, and the staff was pretty good at helping to set up tours. I though it was awesome that they still let you use the facilities, including towels even after checkout. They also made you a to-go breakfast pack if you had early morning tours.

A bit far from the city centre compared to other hostels, but overall worth the value. Great Mijal who was always helping me and other guests. Very clean rooms and breakfast was superb.
