You\'ll spend a lot on bus fares getting to the hostel, but it has a stunning view overlooking Bergen. The rooms are spacious and very clean same applies to the bathrooms, kitchen, and common area. Yes, it seems expensive compared to what you would pay for a hostel in other countries, but Norway is an extremely expensive country for non-residents. I would stay there again it was a nice place.

Though this hostel charges a bit more, the included free breakfast is fantastic ! It totally fulfilled me and my friend's wish of eating brown cheese, herrings and lamb salami (I'm not sure what it should be called), and there is a large variety of food choice ! Also since the hostel is on slightly on the hill, it provided a great view, so I would say even the bus fee to get to the station is somehow still worth it.

The hostel is in a beautiful location though it either rained or snowed every day I was there. It's quite a ways away from the city and taking the bus back and forth can get pricey. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is awesome. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. The other travelers were respectful of the place and helped keep it clean. It has the most amazing kitchen I've seen in a hostel. Linen does cost extra but that's pretty standard in Scandinavian hostels.

I very much enjoyed my stay. It had a comfortable feel, was very quiet, and a nice diversity of people. I would recommend however, moving the ping pong table to the entry area to facilitate mixing; as it was remotely away in the lower level. Staff were very professional, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, views terrific, and it was a few steps away from the bus link to downtown, with a grocery right between the bus stop and the hostel.

We had two rooms to share between four people. We showed up late in the evening and were looking for a quick check in and ready for bed but after a 15 minute check in we were very irritated. When going to our rooms we walked down to the basement and into our rooms that had a musty smell and did not look very clean. There was hair and bugs in the bathroom and a smell of urine. The next morning we went to breakfast and were pleasently surprised by the nice spread of food.

My first hostel experience, I would recommend it. Location at the bottom of Mt. Ulriken made it very easy to hike up and down the mountain from the hostel. Had to take a bus to downtown though, but the view from the back of the hostel was worth it in my opinion. Can\'t blame the hostel for the prices, I think everything in that country is just expensive.

The staff was very helpful and the included breakfast buffet was great. However some of the doors with key locks didn't work (though all those connected to the rooms and showers did), and there were lockers for backpacks downstairs. It was also a little outside the city center, but the walk wasn't bad and the busses run regularly. Overall a very nice stay.

Very nice facilities and very clean. I preferred staying closer to the city center but it's a great price for what you get. The breakfast is also included and very nice.

Hostel and facilities are excellent, as is the price. The only disadvantage is the location - it is quite far from the town center, requiring a 10 minute bus ride to get to and from the main town.
