It's a nice hostel but it's quite far from Khaosan Road (where the party is). The atmosphere was nice, a lot of young people were staying plus they have night tours to see Bangkok and its arounds. The only problem we had was that the AC in our room was too cold and we didn't have the remote to turn it off but when we asked for another blanket the staff have it to is without hesitating. Breakfast looked nice though we didn't eat here cause it's a little bit pricey.
Nice place but the beds make loud noises when you move on them or turn over. Nice staff and there is cool cheap fod nearby
Friendly staff. The hostel has a daily information meeting at 5pm.
Very nice hostel, walking distance to BTS station but far from all places of interest, unfortunately. There are not many restaurants and sights nearby, so you need to take a cab or Chao Praya boat to get to the good spots. Breakfast is quite expensive but it's huge and gets you filled for the day. Room was nice, simple, good value for money. I recommend to people who are looking for a bit of quiteness, away from busy Khao San Road.

During my 3 months of traveling, this place has been the worst so far.. Staff NOT helpfull at all nor were they friendly, no AC in the dorm, location not too good, far from everything of interest. Uncomfortable beds as well. Can not recommend.
I was looking for a cheap place to stay in Bangkok and this was definitely it. The staff were very friendly & helpful. There were good size lockers in the room and safes in the main office. The breakfast was overpriced - don't do it. Enjoyed the DVD room on a rainy night when we wanted to stay in, never thought I'd watch Gangs of NY with a Thai dub-over. Location is OK, beds were decent but they did all have a night light & plug. Good value for you money in Bangkok though!
This is a great hostel to start your trip to thailand. Its not that far out and the transport links are easy to get to. The service desk really helped me out with where to go next and how to do it. If you want a chilled out place to start your trip then this is the place for you.

NRGH was an amazing hostel for the price. The different chill out areas were great and the staff were really friendly. The food in the cafe was great for when you're too lazy to go out (but there are tons of good, cheap places to eat nearby). Highly recommended!
