This was the worst backpacker I have stayed in. Disgusting toilet and bathroom facilities, leaking shower which ran right across the room, dirty bedding. Unfriendly reception staff - how is a first time visitor supposed to know that the booking forms are kept in the bar? Poor storage, leaving the bags in the bar after checkout did not feel safe. I was so pleased to leave.

A great place if you want to be reminded of your first week at university (or get a taste of what your first week at uni might be like judging by the average age of the guests here). The smell of stale beer and other fluids coming from the bar area really took me back... I booked this last minute and would say if you can get in at the YHA then go there instead. Kitchen is small and grimy, sun loungers were broken, found an army of ants on one of the (unstable) beds in our room.

Pro: The Nomads in Noosa was the first Nomads I ever stayed in. The atmosphere is great! The hostel has a great bar which is packed in the evening. It's about a 10 minutes walk from the beach and supermarkets are close by. The hostel has a pool (but honestly... who needs a pool in Noosa!?) Contra: The kitchen smells, the beds squeak and no BYO.

Staff was often unhelpful and disorganised, they messed up our extension of our stay- even if we asked them three times to book a couple days longer. When we were looking to talk to the travel desk the receptionists didn't care to tell us no one will operate the travel desk for the next two hours(we waited for maybe 10 minutes before asking). The 'no visitors' rule clearly wasn't of much importance- our roommates the first night brought visitors over and were very loud the whole night.

Last time I checked to confiscate an item is to remove/ seize it as means of penalty... I recognise when a room has alcohol in it you risk this loss! What I do not appreciate is 'resource allocation' whereby 10 minutes later the hostel staff are given these items (and later mock those who had it 'confiscated') If we had been punished for breaking OZ licensing laws- what were the staf doing??! If I knew I was staying on the set of Robin Hood I would have spent the time creating fancy dress...!!

Really good hostel. The meet and greet is a really nice touch as its a good way to meet people as soon as you arrive. The bar is a bit loud and cheesy but if thats the kind of thing you are in to then its fine. Its a really good location, only about 10 mins down the hill to the beach. Also has a free shuttle to the bus stop so thats really handy. The rooms were clean but there is no lockers for your stuff unless you pay extra. Would recommend though if staying in noosa

Even though I only stayed for one night I was very impressed with this hostel. The staff were very friendly and always happy to help. I was in a 16 bed dorm which I thought would be loud and untidy but this wasn't the case as the people I shared with were very considerate. The facilities were very good and clean. I was recommended this hostel by my Wicked travel rep and I would recommend this hostel to anyone thinking of staying in Noosa.

Good party hostel with super friendly and fun staff. Good location close to the shops but quite a walk to the beach. Not too difficult though. I booked the Fraser Island tour through this hostel and would recommend it to everyone, great deal and amazing fun!!

Kitchen is filthy, on-site bar closes at midnight, beach is quite far and on the other side of huge hill, staff girls are super slow, it took us about 20minutes to check in even though there was 4 girls "working". Also that free pickup is only 4 times a day. They won't tell it to you before it's too late. Cleaning staff comes and goes like for 2 hours in one room. It's very weird. They don't have uniforms or anything and you just find random people in your room claiming to be cleaners.
