Best hostel out of the three that I used in SP. Clean, great staff, good breakfast with a fun bar out front yet quiet enough back in the rooms to go to sleep at 10 PM if you wanted. Highly recommend booking here if it is available.

I really like the hostel, it was clean, cheap and the area, Villa Madalena was cool and I felt safe. The staff were really helpful and the bar served cheap drinks and delicious sandwiches. The kitchen was good and so were the breakfasts. They offer a free walking grafitti tour which was great!

Seriously passionate and helpful staff that go above and beyond in all they do - more like friends really. Great breakfast provided to start off the day - fruits, coffee, buns and cheese. Plenty of showers so no queueing. Can't think of anything to be constructive about! An incredible place to stay, what more could you want in a hostel? One of the best.

Great hostel with a fantastic staff. It's a great value for the price and located in a great place in Sao Paulo. It's safe, fairly easy to find, and very nice to look at. Would come back in a heartbeat

Fantastic hostel! Very well run and the staff were friendly and organised. Good breakfast each morning, decent rooms and lockers. The walk from the metro is further than you think but not bad! The location is good otherwise, within walking distance of the great night life. Overall fantastic stay! I recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Sao Paolo!

Lovely hostel and a great location in Vila Madalena. Sarah was very helpful and gave us 2 fantastic maps when we arrived, one for the local area and another for the whole city. Breakfast was fresh and standard for Brazil, but one of the better places we have been (eg sandwich toaster available for use). Kitchen was well stocked with a few nice new pots and pans. We were staying in a basic double room, it was clean and the only real bad thing was no window in the room.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and very good location (near metro, supermarket, in a very nice and safe neighborhood). The only downside of this hostel is that some of the beds are a bit wobbly (I would anchor them to the wall)... not a really big issue though as I came back a second time two weeks later, and was actually a tad bit sad when I had to leave. Would definitely come back next time I'm in SP.

This hostel was excellently positioned and within walking distance to excellent restaurants and funky pubs. The staff went above and beyond to help us in any way they could. They helped us book bus tickets and assisted with restaurant choices. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to any one looking for the São Paulo experience in a fantastic location in a cool calm and collected hostel.

This was the best hostel I have stayed in so far. It was not only clean, but had colour and style! The common areas were great, the kitchen well equipped (though it needs some teaspoons and mugs) and the rooms homely and spacious. The bar was well stocked and chilled. Even better than the actual building were the staff!! They made an effort to know your name, have a chat, and they were more than helpful when I bombarded them with questions every morning. The breakfast was also great! THANKYOU!!

3rd time here. Always good. Though I think the lockers need a little bit of work done to them as the ones in the 4 bed dorm were ta bit worn the handles would not lock properly.

Great hostel with a separated party zone, located within walking distance from several samba clubs. Staff is doing excellent job and was very helpful with tips and directions. The hostel has a bar, and many locals swing by for a drink in the evening. Definitely recommended to anyone seeking fun and willing to meet new people.

To be honest, i didn't expect much from the place, since it's one of the oldest hostels in that area... well... I was wrong doing so, it really felt like a second home... Even though the house's size isn't that big, the cosiness, the location and specially the Staff made it all worth it. There's also a nice bar to hang out... the prices are really fair

We are old in business but all still pretty young, dear anderson! We opened Ô de Casa 6 years ago at age 23. By that time we were maybe too young. We grow up, moved to a much better spacious clear green sunny house, and people are considering Ô de Casa one of the best new hostels there is! Check the news and our facebook page. Last time we were on the media, we were there representing a new way of making hostels. and that only comes when u have a bit of experience. that's why u liked it so ;) Thanks for your lovely review!

Nice hostel, good atmosphere, very helpful & friendly staff, good location, bit of walk to metro, basic breakfast with fresh fruit. Nothing inside shower to hang clothes/towel; pins would help. Clean sheets, but my bed had bed bugs! 100 bites in 1 night with severe allergic reaction. Staff very forthcoming though; I changed beds, washed clothes and got night for free, although this doesn't cover medicine costs... Advice: get rid of infected mattress & bed and wash all sheets > 50 C.

Ouch, that was a bad day! Thanks for your good review even tho. We treat bedbugs very carefully in the hostel with the only company specialized in them in Brasil. What happens to them is that sometimes they come from a infected bag. If it happens, we close the room right away for desinfection, just like we did when you were here. No more issues since them, as you can see from our reviews. Pins at the bathroom being provided! Thanks for the tip. Best,

Wonderful time there! Met great travelers and the staff was awesome. Really worth it, I will return to that place the next time I am in SP. The staff made my trip better because they were able to tell me where to go and what to do, I had no problem finding everything because of their directions and maps. Beautiful hostel as well! Thank you Ô de Casa!!

Hi guys! I had a very good time at O de casa hostel. Your staff is very friendly and helpful with everything, so that is a big plus when you are spending your first time in the city. Vila madelena seems like a good neighborhood, maybe the hostel could arrange a pub crawl or something similar to show the neighborhood at night like they have the walking tour on Saturdays. I think you should strive to get more young people in the hostel as a felt the age of the guests was a bit old for a hostel. K

Hey Kasper, We do have pubcrawls! We do have a bar! We do provide our guests VIP entrance to most clubs in town. And we are pretty young, like 20's, 30's. Sometimes 40's, but all young at heart. No?

I stayed here for 2 nights, really liked the place. A good place to meet other travelers. The staff made a BB one of the nights.
