Phi Phi Ingphu is a short walk (5-7 mins) from the main part of town and the beach. Each room is a freestanding bungalow. I stayed in an air-con double. The room is basic (beds, dresser, bathroom, & small porch) but comfortable and provides everything you need. We spent most of the day at the beach or doing activities, and most of the night out in town so we weren't in the room a lot and it provided exactly what we needed - a safe place to keep our things, and a comfy place to sleep.

THE WORST HOTEL EVER!!!!! We arrived at the hotel on Dec, 31st, New Years' Eve. The hotel receptionists (Thai woman and inebriated "gentleman") ATTACKED my friends and me threatening with a KNIFE!!! We asked the hotel staff about the price for an extra bed. The information counter said 500THB, but the receptionist replied 1000THB. We asked why the price was different, and the receptionist shouted that was not our business, and "we could get out of here if we didnt like it". We were shocked!!!!!!

Great rooms (don't get the standard, get air con ones), great pool, breakfast included, nice walk to viewpoint and to town. Its set away from the lively centre, but not too far. Staff are interesting, the baggage guys really nice guys and the recepionist has his good and bad days I think. Not helpful when it comes to information, although did provide a map. One room was not ready when we arrived and did not look great on arrival, but they soon sorted it. Again shower not overally hot, but ok.

We double booked ourselves so went to the hotel to see if we could get some money back. The location is up a steep hill which put us off (we could have stayed here rather than the Phi Phi Cassita which we chose instead). The reception guy was very rude and didn't listen to what I had to say. He obviously had his money and didn't care. Very poor customer service. I inspected the room to decide where we wanted to stay. It was of an ok standard but his attitude and the location put us off.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ingphu point. But you need to be aware that you may have to climb a lot of stairs to get to your hut. We had to climb 100 steps, and there were huts higher up again. But overall, i would go there again.

The place was OK, but there are much cheaper places of the same standard closer to the centre of Phi Phi which I will use next time.

This place was awesome. The steps were a killer but well worth it when we woke up to monkeys on our balcony!

We booked a 4 bed deluxe room and a double room but what we were given was two rooms, one with two double beds and another with a double. When we made the staff aware of this there was no apology or any attempt at all to remedy the situation. Finally after some time they agreed to move two single beds into each of the rooms but this never happened. The staff were far from friendly apart from one guy who did try to make our stay worthwhile but I would never stay here again. Who would?!

I booked here but had to change my plans at last minute. It was too late to cancel on hostelworld, so I expected to pay for the first night as detailed in hostelworlds terms and conditions. (http://www.hostelworld.com/hosteltermsandconditions.php). However, I was charged full amount and on ringing the hostel, I was told it was against policy?!?! I would recommend choosing somewhere else to stay.

We had a nice time here. Walking past the ' garden' is no problem. Walking up the hill to receptions isn't that big of a deal either. It's just walking up to the highest bungalows that really sucks. Oh and there is this weird sound barrier thing where you go from not hearing the noise of the beach at reception to hearing it very clearly and loudly by the time you get to the top bungalows. So a nice place, you will get thighs of steel & a dance party all night long.... staff was really nice.

Absolutely rubbish! My friend hurt himself so we couldn't stay for the week I had reserved as we needed to get him to a hospital and when I tried to explain at check in I only could stay I night they insisted I stay for a week or else go away.very rude and so we didn't stay but they still charged me 225 dollars plus the 10% to my credit card I had already paid for booking!even though we didn't stay even one night! This place has got to be the worst place to stay in Phi phiwith money hungry staff

Good backpacker place. get what you pay for. Nice if you want to be a bit away from the hectic noise from beach / town - although is a bit of a walk. we had room 23 which was right at the top of the hill - think 70 steps. we were ready for it and it was what we wanted! staff are friendly, english is pretty good - although there was the odd misunderstanding, no pick up from the pier on day 1 was a bit of a pain, because it is a bit of a walk! all round, enjoyed it loads though.

Good hostel overal and the swimming pool is a plus. However it is quite a long walk and you will be really tired and sweaty when you arrive in your room if you got a room at the top . We booked a room with a fan and without hot water but changed as it was a bit too rough and we wanted to enjoy the stay. We then had a room at the bottom of the hill with AC and hot water. It was great

This is a nice place, everything was fine. My only complaint is that it is so far from everything. It may be a nice getaway during the high season, but during the low season it was a hassle to get up and down the hill where it's located.

Good hostel with very friendly staff who are always willing to help. They have a taxi service from the pier much better than walking to the hostel as it's quite a distance. Some reviews have mentioned the distance to town but it's only a 10 minute walk, a big plus if you don't want to be amongst the hecticness of the village. Make sure you take a torch at night as walking around the reservoir you will encounter lots of frogs on the path (in rainy season).
