Give your guests a doona/duvet in the autumn/winter, it was freezing in the room!

Good hostel - free WiFi, clean and good atmosphere. I stayed at Frasers in Rainbow beach as well and Pippies is definitely better.

Pippies has a very relaxed atmosphere and is a comfortable, affordable place to stay. If you want to party you can buy some drinks and sing karaoke next door. The wifi does get overloaded so don't depend on it too much! The beach and shops are just a short walk away. The tour of Fraser Island was brilliant and Brett, our guide, was so helpful and knowledgeable. I had so much fun, would definitely recommend their Fraser Island 4WD trip!

If you want to have a freaken sweet time in rainbow beach, make sure you go here. All rooms have aircon (except the 8 bed dorm), and there is plenty of room to chill and hang out. Pool is really nice, and the staff are the topping to the cake. Big shout out to the two staff members Arran and Katie for being so awesome. Katie even sacrificed her own bed for a walk in that forgot to book, leaving her without a bed for the night. Such selflessness :D

Great stay here! The staff are excellent and really friendly, welcoming and generous. The beds in the dorms where a bit noisy but the atmosphere and location made up for that.

Only good thing about this hostel is its tours for Fraser Island. The kitchen is small and disgusting, the dirtiest kitchen I've ever seen in a hostel. Bathrooms aren't that much cleaner either. Good tv room. The staff aren't friendly. Would not stay here again not would recommend this as a place to stay.

This is a nice place to stop for a night of you are going to Fraser Island or coming back but I wouldn't stay long, there's not much around. The hostel was clean and comfortable though.

Small rooms uncleaned rusty and old bathrooms with wholes in the sink and walls

After this hostel being voted the best on rainbow beach we decided to stay here before out trip to Fraser . When we got there we was very disappointed. There was plates and rubbish left on the tables outside. We stayed in a 8 bed dorm because that was all that was left, the room was so small there was hardly any room for your luggage and this made it terribly hot there is small desk fan hanging on the wall but this doesn't do much good. Would of much rather stayed in one of the other hostels

No point advertised free wifi, when it doesn't work! Great location tho

Nice place to chill and relax, pool and tv room were great and the wifi is not too bad either! Across road from greyhound stop.

A small hostel and with average facilities. Only stay there if you're heading to Fraser Island because there is nothing else to do and you'll get disturbed every morning by other people going. Alright but not great and the place constantly smells of weed.

Such a nice chilled out hostel. Kitchen and bathrooms very nice, amazing showers, love the hammocks. Rooms are small but clean with comfy bunks. You HAVE to walk the 20 minutes to the sandblow and watch the sunset..absolutely stunning. Not a party place but loved it anyway

As always WiFi is free but doesn't work properly. There is an awesome pool. Free tea and cafe 24/7 which is nice. Free breakfast (toast, butter, jam

Good stay, nice kitchen. beds make a lot of noise.

A great place to stay. We have no complaints. Wifi is fast in the main courtyard. Hammocks nice to chill on and the free breakfast is a bonus. Location is good as it is right opposite the bus stop. We hired sand boards for free & walked 20 minutes to the blowhole.

Only stayed one night but that was enough. Shower knobs fell off, one bathroom had blood on floor and up the wall. Bedrooms were standard, kitchen was cleaned in the morning whilst we helped ourself to the toast. The entry is surrounded by trees so you may get bitten

Hi, Thanks for your feedback. We have since replaced numerous knobs throughout the bathrooms. Unfortunately some guests leave the bathrooms not as they found them. We don't seem to have many mosquitos or sandflies at the hostel really at any time of the year. Hope you enjoy the rest of your travels :)

They asked me about my arrival time (20:00) and i did arrive 10mins late. When I arrived, the reception is closed and phone number written on the door was not answered by anyone. It took us more than 1 hour to find the staff. And the room has no lock at all and no locker provided. Though, I glad that the wifi is working.

Great location near the bus stop. Facilities poor, paid for air con room but it didn't work. Wifi slow.
