This was one of the best places we stayed in, lots of character, extremely helpful and thoughtful hosts and gorgeous location! You could watch monitor lizards in the river from the balcony every morning and have complimentary snacks, including home made cake. The only small comment is that the double rooms overlooking the street are a bit noisy, but in comparison to other Asian cities it is a breeze. Big thanks to Raymond and Mani for such a lovely guest house in beautiful Melaka.

Nice location!! They have nice hang out place that face to the river. Just the blanket is a bit dirty at the inner side and you can hear noise from street whole night if your room facing to the street. Anyway, it is still a nice place to stay and worth for the money, there is always many nice fruit and cake on the table for guests. very lovely place!!

Perfect! I REALLY LOVE this guesthouse. Kind, Friendly, Clean, and Beautiful sight! I reserved a few days, and finally I stayed 9 nights. My home away from home in Melaka.

I like how on check-in you are given a glass of juice, which is a quirky little touch. Also the owner gives you a map and explains the local area and also the best way to get back to Melaka Central by bus!! Front room is a little noisy due to traffic, which is not the best if you are a light sleeper. Security is pretty good. Would be great if there was a computer and printer facilities as this is becoming standard among hostels

All in all a nice hostel with a wonderful view on the river from the terrace. The owner helped us a lot when we arrived, but since he is not always there, and the old lady who always sits ob the couch is not the best example for friendliness. Altough there was not breakfast, cake and fruits were always available in the kitchen. All in all a nice place!

The downstairs shower would have benefit from a shower curtain to keep the toilet area dry.

A very special hostel that got it's own charm. Always hot water, nice staff, and a lovely terrace area with a great view to the lake. Calm and quiet with a great character. I would most definitely go back!!

Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. I think it was my favourite accommodation in all my travels through Thailand and Malaysia. Carson, the owner's son was in charge of the place while we were there and he couldn't have been more attentive. He was friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. The garden balcony/relaxing area is lovely, great view and very chilled out. There was always fresh bread, cake and fruit available for guests. The guesthouse is located near to everything. Thank you Riverview!

Spent 5 days at the River View and had an amazing time. The amenities were clean. It was easy to meet people in my shared room, in the lounge downstairs, or the River Vibe restaurant on the top floor. And the staff was nice and helpful.

This is a great hostel in a lovely location overlooking the river that goes through Melaka. One important point that needs to be noted though: the website has an old review that states problems with bed bugs. THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE AND OUR ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN!! This review should be removed, it's over 1 year old & everyone we spoke to during our stay asked the same question regarding bed bugs. It's an unfair comment to remain on the review board. Highly recommend

Your hostel is very good. But the double room with window is not as expected. The noise from the street is until 1 - 2am. All the rest is still excellent.
