One of the best hosels we've ever stayed in!!! Awesome atmosphere, friendliest staff ever who give you lots of insider tipps, location is perfect, roof terrace is great, best equipped and modern kitchen we had so far in a hostel and there is free cake every day :)

After staying at over 15 hostels, this was my favourite! Good balance between party and chill hostel! The showers only a little hot water ...

this actually was one of the best hostels I ever stayed in. two small remarks though: the streets can be very loud at night and breakfast should be served later during Optimus Primavera or coffee should at least be available. :)

Overall a great stay and staff were extremely helpful. One comment though, on the day of check out I asked the girl behind the desk how long it would take to get to the airport and the best way to get there. She suggested the metro and said it was a 40 minute trip and 10 minutes to the station. This was great advice, however she failed to mention that the metro to the airport runs only every half hour, which is very important.

Great stay. We arrived at 2 a.m. but the receptionist showed us the whole hostel in detail with the best kindness. The hostel was just perfect for us and we enjoyed the events starting from it (the tour of the city and the pub crawl) organized by Pancho Tours: http://www.panchotours.com : I definitely suggest it, friendly locals that can show you the city and the nightlife like nobody else!

Unfortunately I could only stay two nights at this hostel and in Porto at all. Porto is an awesome city and this hostel is awesome as well! It is located in the center of the city and it is really stylish and comfy. I enjoyed the breakfasts at a big table. The staff was really awesome and helpful. The common room is a place to feel at home. Additionally there is a rooftop terrace. I would definitely stay here again! Thanks guys!

My stay at rivoli hostel was great, ignore what everyone tells you, this hostel is nicer then Spot hostel (especially if you look at the noise). It is really clean and the staff is very helpful. I would definately recommend this hostel!

the hostel has potential. however our stay was ruined by a group of french school kids who had taken over the majority of the hostel. they returned in the early hours of the morning, drunk, tearing up and down the corridors, screaming and with no regard for anyone else. we left it till 3 am before saying something at which point, a female receptionist came up to address the problem. she was ignored and the racket continued. rivoli desperately need some control over guest behaviour.

Cinema Hostel is very very nice. I really like it! The hostel is clean and you have all you want. The people that working there are friendly, helpful and helps you in all you want about the city. The decoration is nice, you have DVD to see films, wii, play station, free internet and good breakfast. They organize parties and free tours. This hostel is ubicated in the center of the city near the Aliados street and 7 minutes walking from the Ribeira, is perfect! I recommend it so much.

I went to Porto for a few days and I stayed in this great hostel. Super location (2 min walk from the metro), cosy room, really helpful staff... Kind of noisy in the evening and only two bathrooms on the first floor But otherwise, there are computers, a big kitchen with coffee and tea, many dvds and a big TV... the breakfast was great (that chocolate cake... what a delight !!) and you can put your luggage in a storage room the day you leave. So really a nice place to stay for a trip to Porto !

Hi, I arrived late in the afternoon at the hostel and had only few time left to visit the city of Porto. Maria (stafmember) explained the most interesting points to visit (buildings, streets, vieuwpoints, restaurants) very well. When I returned to the hostel, the atmosphere was cozy and warm, with guests making music with guitar, violin, accordeon. It was a short but really nice stay !!
