I love the rooftop where you can chill out on a lazy evening~and the fact that the surrounding of the guesthouse is very peaceful. Thoughtful gestures like providing fruit, bread and a free flow of coffee and tea were very much appreciated :)

The hosts are really lovely and helpful. You get a welcome drink on arrival and a good introduction on Melaka and what to see. You will find Mani in the kitchen almost every evening where she prepares cakes and rolls for breakfast. Rooms are basic and tidy. Enjoyed my stay a lot.

Lovely hostel in central Melaka! Rooms are clean and have good aircon, location was good, downstairs is a television with a big dvd collection, but the best thing about this hostel are the owners! They offered us a welcome drink when we arrived and gave us a map and explaination on what to do and where to eat. Everyday we enjoyed fresh baked cakes from the lady of the house, and they were delicious! Thank you very much for a nice stay at your hostel!

Excellent guesthouse in a good location in Melaka. Easy walking distances to all the main sights. Rooms were clean and air conditioned. Mani, the owner, was very helpful with local knowledge of all the best places to eat and she is very welcoming. She also makes great bread and cakes which you can help yourself to from the kitchen area.

My friends and I spent only one night. Clean, nice, comfortable, affordable and in fact, we had nothing to complain about. There were lots of cookies on the table and they were really good!

Although the actual rooms were comfortable and very clean, ours had many many mosquitoes! We were being bitten all night so be sure to bring insect repellent!

Great comfy and charming place. Good: Great location. Good Atmosphere. Clean. Have a wonderful roof top garden, have a very nice shower area on the roof (private, enclosed space, but with natural sunlight, fresh air, warm water). Bad: Really nothing striking. Would stay again.

Great location, wonderful staff, delicious eats! The owners give you a detailed breakdown of great restaurants and sights across the city when you arrive, and can answer any other questions that arise during your stay. While they say breakfast is not included, fruit and delicious breads are provided every morning. As a solo woman traveler, I felt very safe and comfortable.

The welcome was great and Mani gave us a lot of useful information. The guest house is very clean and convenient, giving us a feeling of staying home. All the main tourist spots are in walking distance. Would definitely come back for our next trip in Melaka.

The Roof Top Guest House was really peaceful and quiet, a nice get-away from the city when the large amounts of tourists or the heat got overwhelming. The staff is very friendly and helpful at giving you tips on what to do, and it is walking distance from everything in Melaka.

Mani, the owner of the hostel, was very nice and heplful, giving us great recommendations for eating and hanging out. The hostel wa situated very close to Jonker Street, and it was quite safe to walk back at the hostel alone as 2 women.

I have never received such a warm welcome upon arriving at a hostel! As well as receiving a welcome drink, Mani gave me a map and lots of information on where to go, what to see and eat, and how to get around. The hostel is very well located for getting around the city on foot.

Definitely recommended. The owners believe in what they do and they extend a friendly welcome. It's a quiet place and best suited to solo travellers (like me) or couples, rather than groups. Location is excellent, just off 'Red Square'.
