Great location but the toilets and kitchen we're quite basic. The staff were very helpful though and it felt very safe.

Extremely basic room, and under equipped fridge/freezer facilities. Needs reading light, a chair or two and a table as minimum in the bedroom. Didn't like the hostel very much, and poor value compared to others we have stayed in this week.

Good location in downtown Rotorua right next to the I-Site tourist info center and walking distance from restaurants. Staff were very friendly. Comfy beds. They have lockers for your valuables, and free wifi, which seems to be unusual in New Zealand.

Very friendly and helpful staff from front desk to cleaners to security. Free wifi is good (temperamental) but still it's free. Loads of free movies, free coffee/tea. Two of three showers in ladies bathroom are powerful. Free hairdryer is nice touch. Would recommend ST bins in ladies bathroom and a hand-dryer instead of towels because they just pile up and look messy. Keep the friendly staff e.g. Kat, Fraser, Arms. Nice place. Would recommend.

I really liked the location of this hostel and the staff were friendly and helpful. The kitchen was clean and well stocked, but the bathroom could have been cleaner and maintained better.

Staff at reception was lovely. Wifi could not be reached in the dorms and also the top bunk was very close to the ceiling meaning it was very awkward for the person sleeping on the top bunk.

Great place, would stay here again. Hostel is really well designed with good outdoor space and indoor area for socialising. Kitchen seemed to overflow a bit too much into seating area (especially noise) but somehow it worked and really appreciated the extra fridge. KAT on the front desk was fantastic with all advice and problems and made the stay a real joy - full marks to her. Good location too.

Nice place, didn't have any problems.

Good location. Nice spacious double bed room. Big kitchen and decent amount of showers and toilets.

I really enjoyed my stay here! I stayed for 5 nights (I planned to stay 2). It's a great location (close to bus station and a cafe next door for a good breakfast). The room are clean and comfy and it's quiet at night. The showers are great and downstairs there is a living room with a lot of movies to see and a good kitchen. And most of all, the staff is really nice (especially Kat at the reception). They all make sure that you have a good stay! All in all, GREAT HOSTEL!

I thought it is a really nice hostel. Definetly would go back. The staff is really nice and the free wifi works really well. Besides that you get free pasta, rice, coffee and tea, which is also very nice. The rooms are quite big, a bit warm tough because of the window in the ceiling.

An okay hostel, great location and once you know where to park, it is easy to park! The hostel had everything you needed but our room wasn't the cleanest.

Friendly staff made up for a slightly below average, but cheap hostel.

Decent hostel, with very nice staff. I was in a 6 bed female dorm and mattresses and duvets were both good. Free pasta and coffee were a nice touch. Bathrooms were clean, water is hot in the morning, but you have to wait a bit longer in the afternoon. I spent 3 nights, two were good, and one less so because of a drunk guy yelling in the hallway after midnight, but there's nothing you can do against morons. Would recommend.

My stay here was awesome. Cath from the reception must win the award for best reception staff! Location is perfect and it was very clean

Excellent nice cheap Hostel right in the middle of Rotorau . Staff were very nice and helpful. Free unrestricted Wifi. Very large Dorms with comfortable beds . Book here , you want regret it

1st time backpacking. I'm 65. Some reviews say the beds are hard. Well, they have sprung mattresses, with seemingly very little over the top of the springs, but no problem, because staff offered a second "duvet" for under the sheet. Room 8 (10 bunks) was great ... after I oiled the squeaky door hinges, and learnt not to noisily bang my watch & pack clips against the steel bunk frames:) Thanks to the friendly, accommodating, helpful staff. A shame I missed the free Fri night barbecue. :)

Small, filthy kitchen. Not enough fridges. Staff was excellent! Location was central but that also meant a lot of noise from the main street! Lots of noise from inside the hostel late at night. The bathrooms were clean but not really any good. You can't change temperature in the shower... (ridiculously hot!)
