Had a short but a good stay at Samesun! Quite a prime location in downtown, even though situated in the lively party street with bars and the clubs, it's surprisingly quite quiet inside. Well maintained facilities, found washrooms and shower areas mostly clean.

Great hostel. Very clean, good for remote work as well. However, my friend and I stayed in a private room and the AC kept quitting on us (usually not an issue but it was quite hot in van). Staff came and said it was fixed but it kept dying so just make sure you ask about this as it gets quite stuffy! I would imagine it’s the same in dorms.

Everything was great, except for the portable AC in the room. It didn’t seem to be working properly and the first night was quite warm, even though the AC was set to 22. The second night it was set to 16 and that cooled the room enough that it didn’t feel like a sauna anymore but it wasn’t cold. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay.
