Part of a chain so it does have a bit more of the corporate feel; however, that really doesn't bother me. The location is good - central within the city but outside of the main tourist area so you get to see a more "normal" residential area, which is nice. A little bit of a hike from the nearest subway stop (5-10 mins), so that's the only knock on location. Staff are great - friendly and helpful. No bar in the hostel, so that impacts the social aspect a bit. Overall, a solid hostel.

Sant Jordi Gracia hostel was one of the best hostels I've ever been in. The staff is SOOO friendly - I felt like best friends with the staff as soon as I got there; inclusive - I met some really wonderful people through all the group activities they offered; helpful and useful (self-explanatory).

This is by far the best hostel I've ever stayed at. The staff is great, and although there is no free breakfast, we did have free dinner one night, and made an arab style dinner another for only 4 euro. It's a safe place to stay as your own key card opens up your locker as well. They have a bunch of movies to watch if you want to stay in one night. It's in a cool area, not really RIGHT next to major attractions, but within walking distance to most and it's surrounded by cool restaurants and bars

FANTASTIC, EXCELLENT, WONDERFUL place to be if you want to feel like you're home away from home. I tried another hostel for one night because Sant Jordi were fully booked on friday and I was borderline depressed at the other hostel. Pls stay here. Forget other hostels. I promise you :)

This hostel is so perfect it's scary. Every tiny detail is perfectly thought out to give travelers maximum enjoyment and comfort. I've seen many many hostels around and I can't help but to give this one 100% on everything, but in the end there's the feeling that something is missing... perhaps it just seems too commercial, missing the spontaneity and even the adorable imperfections of old-style family-run places. Are these doomed to disappear when Sant Jordi takes over the world?

In the heart of Barcelona's best neighbourhood. This is where you should stay if you want to see real Barcelona neighbourhood life, not just be surrounded by other tourists. This place is super modern and has a fantastic staff. Each bed has its own little shelf, which is a nice touch. My only complaint is that the showers don't provide enough space to keep your clothes and towel dry. (They'll get sprayed by shower water.) Still, I've been to 4 hostels in Barcelona, and this is the best.

Awesome hostel, super nice staff, since it is quite small you get to know everyone, super clean, really comfortable beds, interesting neighbourhood - definitely a must for people who want to discover Barcelona outside of the touristic areas (although they are not far away!). Nice bakery just around the corner to grab a warm croissant (they have awesme pastéis de Belém as well - you should try!) just after getting up...

If you are going to Barcelona, please stay at Sant Jordi Gracia! I stayed here for four nights and I wanted to move in. The hostel is clean, safe, and has an awesome location close to two metro stops and a cute plaza. The kitchen and common area are awesome and a great way to meet people. They have a rooftop and a terrace too. The staff is always there to help and they have nightly activities like pub crawls or just making dinner together. I loved staying here and will be back!

This was my first ever stay at a hostel, led alone my first time venturing out of the United States. I am a native new yorker, and the Sant Jordi Garcia hostel was my favorite experience so far on my trip. Not only is the facility extremely clean, new, and friendly...the staff is AWESOME. Half of the hostel workers are musicians or DJs, and they always want to get you involved with things going on. You can party and meet friends, or take it easy and people are considerate and won't keep you up!

I saw 2 different Sant Jordi hostels in Barcelona, and both of them were perfect! The furnitures are brand new, hostel is very clean, and you have lockers in your room which works with your private room-card only. The hostel really has an atmosphere!! Lots of people playing games, doing pub crawls together. I really really LOVE the hostel!!

from most aspects... best hostel ive been at (out of about 40)...everything is great- they even have parking!!(this comment is referenced to the other hostel from the same company-the one near sagada familia)
I feel very lucky to have stayed with Sant Jordi Gracia. The hostel has super facilities with great security and it is in a great location for exploring Gracia/Parc Guell and for reaching the city centre. The staff are friendly, efficient and very helpful. There is a nice relaxed atmosphere in the hostel and I got to meet some lovely people during my stay there thanks to the nice layout and also the brilliant party organiser . I'd recommend this hostel.
